If you're trying to make the point that some not-so-reputable stores are willing to help you risk the safety of you and your passengers to save a buck, mission accomplished. Maybe the tires will be fine, maybe they won't. In any event, I don't think you can fault a store for not helping you take a risk. Yeah, you saved $150 getting lower-rated tires, and doing without road hazard, lifetime balancing and rotation, but I trust a store that won't compromise safety to make a sale.

Tires were brand name at both places.
