Thanks OP. Note: My Big Lots (Elizabethtown, KY) normally has these sales going on the entire day, not just the listed hours. Don't know if other stores do this or not.

It is an original coupon.
Looks fishy to me. It is not linked from Biglots site. These are usually edited counterfeit coupons.

Looks legit to me. Big Lots does this at least once a year. The store is open extended hours for the "Friends and Family" but many stores will accept the coupon earlier in the day also. I've used these at the sales for at least the past 2-3 years and have never been questioned.

Seriously... I have posted a number of good deals on FW. I do not have the time to come up with my own "counterfit coupons". This is 100% legit, I got this emailed to me by an employee of the company.
Sometimes they have copies of this printed out to give to customers. The same debate came up last time this deal was on FW and pretty much every store took them if i remember right. Got myself a new couch for 20% more off the sale price
I just came back from my local Big Lots and they had the exact same coupon at the checkouts and were making sure to give them to customers with their receipts. The coupon is legit. They had stacks of them at the checkouts so you could pick up as many as you wanted.
Edit: OK not exact but close...the upc code is slightly different on the ones I got (mine are all the same) so maybe it is coded by store. In Miami mine ends with 00890 7. The text and photos are identical.

Both BL in my area have the sale all day long. And they're handing cooupons out also at the checkout.
Was in a BL today and confirmed that you will be able to combine this with their advertised deals. They have a pharmacy blowout right now that is 50%-70% off, combined with this would be BIG savings I saw name brands (durcell, vicks, etc.)in this deal but I am sure it varies by store.
Just be careful regarding the price they deduct the 50 to 70% off of! In my experience, Big Lots adds their own (sometimes blue or purple colored) price tags with such an INFLATED price so you can then "take a discount" from the pharmacy store's price. What is always odd is that these price tags are on EVERY item and they are also in so much better shape than the item itself-LOL!!

i think that is the drug store's original price tag, drug store prices (esp from one that went out of business b/c it could not compete) tend to be much higher than anywhere else, but you could be right...
Just got back from Big Lots. My store definitely was doing this all day long. And they didn't even require a coupon. It was automatically programmed into the computer to take 20% off of each and every item for all customers. They didn't even ask if I had the coupon. I asked her if she wanted or needed it and she said no, not really. They were even announcing it over the store speakers that it was 20% off all day.
Last time the store was packed and the check out lines were long. I got asked to bring things down from the top shelves. The store ran out of carts and some scary guy was about to loose it because he could not find a cart.
But, I may go back again today to save a few dollars.

I called beforehand and was told that I had to have the 20% coupon physically in hand. My store was doing the all day thing though.
Went to a couple of stores. One store had a table set up at the front with free drinks & candy. Every store had sign out by the road that said 20% off today only. I bought 17 boxes of Zoe's Cinnamon Raisin granola for .25/box & that was before my additional 20% off.

I went today (Las Vegas) and the lady asked me for my coupon, she didn't give the lady in front of me 20% off. Is it just me or have BL's prices gone up? I might try to old one I used to live by because the one I went to today was pretty small.
Sweeeeeet! Went to take a look around and ended up buying a ton of hardware that was at 90% off - got some nice satin-nickel replacement cabinet knobs amongst other things.
The cashiers at this store needed the coupon, but had a barcode to scan behind the register.

I wanted to give her my extra coupon, but she ran off before I could give it to her. They were taking the coupon all day.

Yesterday my Big Lots store had a ton of $3 DVD box sets. Today when I got there at 4:30, they were all gone. I wished I knew they were doing this all day
