Anyone try this with ATT/Cingular's old "Media Works" data plan?

I didn't try, but I doubt if it will work straight out-of-box. You may be able to jailbreak, but I don't know. Post in Howard Forums. There are super exparts hanging there.

Buy it if you want to experiment. The price is unbeatable, and it is a great product. I bought it for $55 in May. Can't believe the $35 price!

so it's titled 7.2Mbps but then the description is "Expected HSDPA download speeds of 600 Kbps - 1.4 Mbps" . wtf?

Problem w/ AT&T's network. They haven't opened-up 7.2Mbps yet. Current theoretical max is 3.6Mbps, but you will never be able to get more than 1.0Mbps anywhere in US in AT&T's network.

If you want speed then Sprint EV-DO is the best (but very limited service area).

I have this card... I swap out the SIM on my iPhone when I need to use it for road trips..etc..

AT&T can see the difference, as I logged into my account online while it was running on the GT and it showed a picture of the GT instead of the iPhone! Knowing this... I've used this setup very sparingly, and not for mass data consumption and they haven't done anything yet and I'm serveral billing cycles deep with the card. In the AT&T online account management area... In the data usage logs, the data transfers look the same via the iPhone and the card. I figure as long as don't get stupid with usage, it won't set off any alarms.
