4-phase. That review is for the Turbo X, but the cooler is the same AFAIK.

The reviewed card is awesome. Extremely well made. I wonder what's the difference between this and that. The Samsung GDDR3 chips are fast-fast grade too. Too bad this thing ain't 1GB equipped.

Red for not putting what this is in the title or the message. What is an HIS 4850? Is this a computer, a camera, a GPS, a MP3 player, a gun, a TV?
Why would you not put what this is in the title? Then we click on the message and you don't say what it is in the text either. Now I have to click a THIRD time on the link to see what it is. Why?

Lol, you're intense. Check out the category, "video cards." When was the last time you used a video card to plan a trip to somewhere to take a picture of someone shooting a TV while listening to Madonna?

I think the memory is rated slower in this version.

I love it when people whine about this kind of thing. First of all, x2 on medicine's comment, it's under the Video Card category. Second, it takes less than 10 seconds to open up Google and search for "HIS 4850" and realize that it's a video card. I understand the "lack of information in the post", but IMO you're really being a crybaby about this. A simple "please add more information to OP" is fine; no need to get so worked up over it.
This is a great deal folks! I think it's time for me to build a new computer.

Why the hell would you make the title so redundant all because stupid people can't figure it out? Stop catering to people too stupid to realize which way is out their door.
Thanks for the deal, picked one up for CrossFire. According to reviews on Newegg, this comes with a crossfire cable, which a lot of cards don't. So this is really a great deal if you're planning on using CF and don't have a connector lying around. It also comes with stormrise, which gamespot described as one of the worst strategy games in years.
can't wait until a good deal being post on a honda accord, and someone would whine about the OP not stating in the title that the honda accord is a car.
if you don't know right off the bat what a "ATI 4850" is, you don't need it and won't likely know how to use it properly, so don't click on the thread.
owenscott said: Terminatrix are you really that stupid? All the titles should say "good deal" .. or something like that ... jeez it will only take you 10 seconds to click on each ... then search for 10 seconds on google to see what it is ...??... times several thousand deals ... is that what your advocating ?
YES OR NO?
This is a deal site, not a freeloader site. Deal posters have no obligation to educate ignorant readers. If you don't know that $85 for the ATI 4850 is a "good deal", then ignorance is your problem, not the OP's responsibility. Don't blame your laziness and ignorance on the OP.
Wow, where has the old FW gone? Nowadays, so many 'FWers' complaining about the contents of a thread title instead of focusing on the quality of the deal. You get green from me OP just for dealing with these nutjobs...

LOLLLL wow you actually had to change the title for people who don't even know what a Radeon graphics card is....lol.

scottxmso, consider your red rating as a validation of your intelligence. Many studies have shown that less intelligent people can't decipher between sarcasm and statement of facts.

If you lack the current knowledge of anything related to computers to now know what the hell an *ATI* 4850 (or any freakin number really), is, then there is no need to whine about the poster. PCIx16-FOR A COMPUTER. It's not hard.
$85 for the ATI 4850 Well i didn't .. i may need a video card but not know what it was ...(it takes less time for op to write significantly more title info then for the rest of us to click links to figure it out) this hot deal wouldn't have helped me ... unless i knew it what it meant .. once upon a time i bet you didnt know everything either. Did you?

scottxmso, consider your red rating as a validation of your intelligence. Many studies have shown that less intelligent people can't decipher between sarcasm and statement of facts. And when it's typed instead of spoken, the number of people that can't recognize sarcasm go way up. Instead of confusing it with fact, it's more that you can't tell if the person that wrote it is just an idiot or not. Looks like nut jobs on both sides of the argument from where I'm sitting. 'Wah, he didn't say it's a video card!', 'Wah, that's too much to ask of anyone!', 'Wah, you're a meanie!', 'Wah, you're stupid!'.

If you don't know, do what 99% of people here do, google search and you might learn something. The OP is not responsible for your ignorance.
What is next, you want the OP to fill/send out your rebate for you since he can just do it instead of having each person wasting time on downloading the rebate form?

Red for you for clicking on a title that's obviously something technical. Don't know what it is? Move on. Anyone with any interest in games or video intensive apps will know what a 4850 is.
And I'm sorry you had to click a "THIRD time", GASP, THE OP MADE YOU CLICK A THIRD TIME? IM SO SORRY TO HEAR THAT.
Back on point, thank you op for posting this. I've been waiting for the 4850 to come down under 90 for a while now. I recently bought a 3870 (which is not nearly as good), but I can return that now, and be able to play GTA IV!
I'm just trying to get this straight. It's OK to post a confusing title and make people waste time clicking X3 to learn that they don't need it ... ? OK here is a great idea .... why should he list the company or model number .. from now on lets just all use the UPC. Save a lot of time writing up the titles .. of course the rest of us will waste a lot of time looking everything up X3, but then you (jackone) said we might learn something.
I clicked to see what the thread title was about, and got a laugh out of it. I'd be thrown off if the title was just "HIS 4850", but "ATI HIS 4850" would be a completely different story. Also, nowadays these video cards could be external if wanted. See http://www.magma.com/products/pciexpress/expressbox1/index.html for a example.
But yea, it would go in a computer for most people

You're wasting a lot more time repeatedly complaining about the post's title than it would have taken you to look it up...obviously you must have a lot of time to waste which makes your point all the more ridiculous. Playing in traffic would be more productive.
