Epson has a NEW $150 MAIL-IN REBATE on their 13” x (((44”))) Wide-Body, Banner-Capable R1900 Inkjet Printer. Epson's Merchant Exclude list is below, but you can still find this printer for around $465. Take a look at some of the pics I've added to the QT.
It would take a force of will on my part not to bite on a $295.44 NET price. List your finds and bump the thread. I'll edit the subject line and the lead post.

For comparison, it's about $493 shipped after Bing CashBack (4%) at Buy.com, where it is currently $501 + about $12 shipping. If Bing CashBack doubles on August 10th as the rumor goes, could be another $20 less or so.
FWIW, there's an eBay seller offering an unopened R1900 with free shipping right now for $489.96. Listing doesn't say if the UPC was removed from the box. Not sure if an eBay seller purchase would qualify for the rebate.
ktg said:Not sure if an eBay seller purchase would qualify for the rebate. Auction purchases are expressly disqualified from the rebate. Yes, Buy.com is an option. Dell. Adorama. BH Photo. RitzCamera. I'm setting up price alerts on this model and appreciate a generous two months to wait for a deal. $350 AR is not bad, but I'd love to see the net price get into the $2xx's. I have a Brother MFC-6490CW (11” x 17”) but it is just painful not to be able to sheet-feed. I print my own custom 3-mo. calendars using 11 x 8½ inch continuous paper (3-up) and when my old Canon Pixma died last year I thought I could tolerate a wide-format without sheet feed. Not! The Brother is fine (kind of cheaply constructed) — I got it for a net $49 at Staples AR + PM + Coupons — but never underestimate the value of being able to hand-feed something in. My old Canon could do 27”; I'm positively giddy at the thought of being able to use the full 33” length of my continuous microperf to do those calendars. I also read this Epson can print directly to CDs/DVDs (?). Crazy.
Feh, was hoping for some kind of action on this with the much-vaunted Bing double CashBack---couldn't find any deals. The PCConnection price is still the best one going.

Green for the rebate post and low price. But Man Alive, I'd hate to be 43" into that glorious 44" panoramic print and have one freaking ink color go out!
Now that the deal at PCConnection is obviously not going to fly, we need other options.
Currently it's $520 at J&R Music before shipping (which added another $17 for me in PA). Bing CashBack is at 14% which makes for a final shipped total of ~$312 AR/ACB.
I wouldn't count on that 14% Bing CashBack to last much longer. The acclaimed 50% EastbayCashBack went down to 20% last night.
I don't know if this is any better but Newegg has it for $404 - 6% Bing CB = $379.76 - $150 rebate = $229.76. I don't see Newegg on the list of ineligible retailers. Also, nothing is stated on Newegg making this sale invalid towards the rebate. I usually never find a better deal than what's already posted at FW so please be kind if I goofed somehow.

Great find, but I worry this one won't work. I think we looked at the Newegg price a few weeks back and it was noticeably higher. Now they're showing an "instant $85 savings" on the shopping cart page when you add the item to your cart. Pretty sure this is going to be viewed as an instant rebate by Epson, thus invalidating the MIR (note also that the R2880, which has a $200 MIR available, also shows a similarly large instant savings at Newegg right now). The fine print in the rebate form states "Claims will not be accepted if receipt shows retailer deducted the rebate amount at the time of purchase." While the word "rebate" doesn't appear on my Newegg shopping cart page---the $85 is listed under "Savings"---I have my suspicions that Epson is going to call it an instant rebate anyway, due to Newegg's use of the word "instant".
One problem I have with this dumbass instant rebate system is that the amount of the "instant rebate" seems to vary from retailer to retailer, unlike the mail-in rebate. I think Epson has something to do with that---I think they are gaming their retailers so that the product price doesn't drop below a certain floor. Frustrating for us hot deal seekers.
I suppose someone could call the Epson rebate center tomorrow and try to get a ruling on this particular price and whether it would qualify for the rebate. Who knows, it might fly. Back when Epson was doing that $75 inkjet rebate/digital camera rebate, they were pretty sloppy about enforcing the fine print on that one, namely, the rebate was supposed to be no more than what you paid for the printer. Most everyone got the full $75 irregardless of what they spent on the printer.
FYI, if any of you are brave enough to go ahead and buy this from Newegg anyway, the combo deal for the printer + red ink cartridge isn't bad---the cartridge is basically just $4 extra in the combo.

I went with the sure Newegg deal. $404 - 10% Bing (last week's special) $364 and I see no reason why the rebate won't fly since the printed receipt does not show the "instant $85" discount.
You can also go to J&R Music and get it for about $515 and they show the $150 rebate on their site for a price of $365 + $22 shipping.
Hellas2004 said:can anyone confirm if they received the 150 rebate using Newegg? please pm me or post here.Looks like Newegg just went up to $509 now. They do have "open box" ones for $359, you may be able to slip one of those through with rebate.
