Hello, I hope you are well.

Amazon.com currently has a number of Monroe brake pads that are available free after a $20 Monroe mail-in-rebate, as well as some that are less than $10 after the rebate. Please keep in mind that only one rebate is valid per household.

Feel free to search Amazon.com for your specific car using Amazon.com's vehicle lookup here or using the tool on Monroe's Web site here. The rebate form may be downloaded from here.

The following are several brake pads that I have found:
Monroe CX337 Ceramic Premium Brake Pad for mid-80's to mid-90's Toyota vehicle
Monroe CX961 Ceramic Premium Brake Pad for G35, Lancer Evolution, and STi
Monroe DX838 Dynamic Premium Brake Pad for 2000-2004 Volvo S40
Monroe CX482 Ceramic Premium Brake Pad for 2003-2005 Mazda 6

Additional note:
It seems as if a lot of people are asking about the differences between the Ceramic and Dynamic pads, so I did a bit of research to help others out. You can read the research I found here. I hope this helps.

Enjoy!
Victor Ly

1 $20 rebate per household / address. Looks like I will have to have my Dad order a pair for me. Thank OP
=:-'>

Limit 1 rebate per household. I need pads for front and rear for my Civic. Shoot.

Thanks for pointing out the rebate limitation. I'll be sure to update the initial post right away.

On a side note, I cannot urge people to jump in on this deal quickly enough (I even added "Hurry!" to the title of this thread). This thread is very green now, but if past experiences show me something, it's that once the deal dies (soon), the red will be coming.

what is the difference between Ceramic and Dynamic pads ? I saw they are different shapes. Which type should I order for my Honda civic 2002 ? Thanks.

Go to the monroe website (see link in OP) and search for your make and model. The highlighted ones in the results are the recommended ones for your car/van/truck.

This rebate isn't limited to Amazon that I can see!?

If so are those really good prices or would the outcome be the same elsewhere with rebate. I know it may be vehicle dependent but...

Did not find the rear pads for my honda civic
Are you sure Amazon is selling rear pads as well?

The rebate is good for purchases until oct 31st and submissions have until dec 1st to be postmarked. I dont think there will be a problem if they sell out on Amazon.....i mean mine are almost gone but i need to go home and see which i will probably need next. Backorder is cool with me so I wont give you red.

Thanks,

Got 2 sets from my 2007 Sienna, stocking up.

Find Monroe brake pads at here

Civics have Drum/shoes on the rear...not pads.

CX = Ceramic, DX = Standard. Though personally I would use OEM Honda parts, they are similar prices than the Ceramic pads and leave much less dust than these Monroe pads will leave. Though you are getting a deal with this MIR, so go Ceramic if you aren't going to get OEM Honda parts!

All else being equal, Ceramics are better.

Is there one "pair" or just "one" brake in the box? Try to figure out should I order 2 or 1.

their a set 2 wheels

Check the Monroe catalog then search for the correct pads on Amazon

does that mean we only need to buy "quantity" 1 for a pair of front wheels?

Yes.

brake pads are always sold as a pair so quantity 1

good deal

Any filler to get over $25 and get free shipping?
Thnaks

It says $42 for mine so still $22 after rebate...I
think I can get another 30K out of my front pads...
just have to backpedal harder.

lucky you, $48/pr for my ride.

Do you guys change pad by yourselves? I am not sure whether I can save money if I need to take it to a garage.

If you can change a tire, you can change your break pads. There are a bunch of step by step guides you can go through online but it isn't too hard of a job.

Piece of cake....takes me about 40 min. to change the front pads on my
Toyota...especially easy at the base hobby shop where lifts are available
and lots of air tools for just a small hourly fee.

Changing pads is easy. Just don't let the caliper hang from the brake line. Drums are a little harder your first time.

As with the purolators, the pads for my 99 Camry are more expensive.
If I would be able to buy the pads for less than $20, do you think they'll honor the rebate?

To change disk pads make sure you have a tool to push the piston back.

GreatB said: To change disk pad make sure to have a tool to push the piston back.
All you need is a "C" clamp.

got mine ... 34.xx for front and 36.xx for rear ... only one left with Amazon for rear and 4 left for front (lexus es300 1999). now gotta search whose address I can give for second rebate !

How difficult is it to replace brake pads by yourself? TIA

who knows the cheaper brake service in houston?

thanks OP, got a set for the Corolla Front pads. $33 - 20 = $13 for pads. Last time I paid $43 for some raysbestos at AutoZone.
