$799.99 currently -80.00 less 10% online discount (valid 8/17-22), discount shows up in cart -115.20 16% bing via "kenmore" or "craftsman" search - 75.00 gas rebate at http://www.getlgrewards.com/ (I called the 800# and verified this is still available)
$529.79 net price after promotional rebates with local pickup
Note: I haven't gotten verification of 16% Bing, but others have, and others have also put in their S/N into the Gas Reward site without errors.
Right now I've got both this and the 1080p 42" LCD waiting at my local Sears for pickup (see thread over at the slippery deal site). I'll probably look at the displays and choose when I get there.
Note: reviews at AVSforum seem to be pretty good on this unit.
GAS card update 2: I have the actual tear-off from my local Sears in hand. The 50PQ30 is a $75 rebate, not a $100 rebate as I formerly thought. It is valid for purchases 8/9-9/12 from Sears only. Title has been updated to reflect the correct amount.
Bing info: seriously, folks, the 16% does have actual confirmation from other posters, and you will get a 16% splash screen when clicking through using one of the search terms above. Yes, it's frustratingly complicated - hey, you're taking advantage of the system - but you're getting $85 extra (above 4%) for your troubles. And yes, to all you haters out there, it works. Many are confirming 16% CB pending in their accounts, and mine got posted about 36 hours after the online purchase. This baby is getting unboxed tonight, and the mount from Monoprice is on a UPS truck somewhere right now.
No, the 42" (plasma only, not LCD) is good for a $50 rebate. The 42 I ordered doesn't qualify for the rebate at all - check the "model" drop down box at the getlgreward site. I think the 60" plasma is good for $200, but I'm not 100% sure.
Bing Cash Back is just like FW or other Cash Back sites. The twist is that to get the full 16%, you have to log into your bing account, search in the Bing search engine for Kenmore, then click one of the "sponsored links" at the top, then again on the "sponsored links" on the side, which will take you through to the site to shop. Then drop the item in your cart (no add-to-cart then click through, I think), and check out in a single browser session/window. The splash page you want will say 16% off (not 4-16% or anything else).
Then light some incense, rub your rabbit's foot, reset your lucky horseshoe (toes up!), and say a few chants and/or prayers - I recommend going with as many major religions as possible.
smw said: I just called the 800 number and was told that it expired a month or two ago. Has anyone actually tried this? I'm looking to get the 60ps60.
I was told that also, but when I asked her to double check, she put me on hold for about a minute to check with a supervisor and came back to say it's still live. Still a gamble.
I pulled the trigger on the 60ps60, but if I don't get the bing CashBack notification I'm going to cancel the order. How long does it take? With Newegg orders it was only a few minutes.
Unfortunately, it's 9-11 days before I can pick up...

My 42' is ready for pickup!
Again, thanks OP, I'll let you all know the Gas Rewards hoops when I pickup later tonight.

Can you tell us where you saw this? And if I search bing.com for 'kenmore' and click on the Bing Banner, it shows 16%, is that only for kenmore appliances or for everything?
Jesus... this is an outstanding deal. Already have a 47" lcd though...

When I ordered this TV about a month ago, the bing Cash Back (8% at the time) took about a day before the confirmation email showed up.
Overall the TV seems to be nice, just note that it seems to be fairly reflective. So if you have light behind your watching area, it might be a bit annoying.
It will remain to be seen if you can get the 16% CashBack. Would be nice, no question about it. But just wanted to add my 2 cents. I ordered an item on Friday from Overstock.com (searching through from Bing). When I searched for the product itself the CashBack came up at 4% but when I searched for another product that I saw at Overstock.com it showed 10% CashBack. I used that link (the 10% link) to buy the item at Overstock.com (the flash screen said 10% and not 4-10% or anything like that). Today I received the email from Bing for 4% CashBack for my purchase at Overstock.com.
People planning on returning the TV to Sears please make sure that they don't charge any re-stocking fees.

Yeah, I suspect this is what's going to happen, but I'll wait for the email from Bing before cancelling...

Good point. Did some digging, and here's the return policy:
A 15% restocking fee is charged on Home Electronics returned without the original box, used, and without all of the original product packaging and accessories
For local pick-ups, does anyone know if the item needs to be picked up in order for Bing to acknowledge the transaction? In my experience with Live & Circuit City back in Dec, I didn't.
To all who purchase this TV, there is an ADDITIONAL 10% mail in rebate for electronic purchased over $799 OR 5% for purchases $399 to $799 if you use your Sears card to make the purchase. I downloaded the rebate form which can be found on their website!
Usually Sears gives a discount for the first day you open a card account. This was about 15% for the first day (on the "blue" card).
Does anybody know if there is any way to combine the opening discount with this purchase. They give a piece of paper with a barcode and the cc number to use as the cc for the first purchase. Does anybody know if I can shop using this "credit card number" online? Any experiences?
I saw that, but it doesn't list the 60ps60, which is on the site, so it may be a later promotion...
Also, to the OP, when you asked the supervisor, did you confirm that the offer still applied for new purchases?

Called the rebate company. After being put on hold FOREVER, she said that there's no current gas card promotional offered thru them for LG TV.
Remember for rebate, unless you have something in WRITING regarding the rebate validity, the manufacturer won't pay. The supervisor could say whatever s/he wants but writing rebate term always prevail.
I'm not getting the "splash" screen confirmation for Sears. I've only done CashBack through eBay before which shows a banner at the top of each screen to confirm you are eligible for CashBack. Is there a similar indicator for Sears or is it just a cross-your-fingers thing?

Most retailers don't acknowledge the Bing CB on their site; you have to wait for an email from Bing to see it.

Any good promotions for opening a Sears charge account other than this rebate? Are there any Sears credit cards that offer a warranty doubling like AMEX and most gold cards?
