lol, working on it. having some tech issues getting it as a jpg to upload here. if I can't will do it by long hang, type it out.

Got this calculator last year when they did the rebate. My 4th grader used the math test on the calc. Nice calculator for elementary school students.

Apparently, Staples is the only place selling a calculator that you can use to spell 'BOOGER'.

nm.

So much paper, so little space... ^_^

The more I look at the paper deal, it's 5.79-3.79IS = $2 OTD (The rebate is limit 2...so even w/o the rebate it's a good price on the paper...you don't need to cart a case of it. ^_^)

weird, ad on Staples.com doesn'r show free calculator at all. socal too

When I looked at the ad yesterday, I noticed the free calculator and a bunch of other stuff on the front page. But today, the front page of the ad is totally different. I'm guessing that yesterday's ad was a mistake, and the free calculator and other stuff are not available (at least in So Cal).

Just realized, they posted the ad yesterday as a sneak peak for next week (Aug 23-29), but it's actually from the following week (Aug 30 - Sep 5). The mistake has been fixed and now you will see the actual ad for Aug 23-29.

Staples 8/30 ad is up. Linky dinky.

Question for Staples regulars Re: the Peachtree deal:

Has anyone tried using a $30 off $150 along with $70 worth of Staples rewards?

I'm thinking it may not work; that Staples would "arrange" the rewards/coupons such that the rewards would be applied first, leaving only $95 "worth" of charges left, therefore making the $30 off $150 ineligible to be applied.

Yes you can. I have done it before. I had $60 ink rewards & $25/$75. Purchased $85 worth of product, gave them $25/$75 first then my ink rewards. Both went thru fine, my total was less than $1.

I called the rebate center and was told that the original receipt must be sent. The rebate will be rejected if a copy and/or the rebate receipt is sent instead. I called Staples and found out they cannot print an original on receipt paper again, but that it would be on a regular sheet of paper. I need to submit original to work as well.

While for online purchases, the rebate's "Promotion Details" state "For purchases made at Staples.com, send the ORIGINAL packing slip as your receipt", the restriction has not been enforced in the past. I have always sent a copy of the receipt and the original UPC Code. YMMV.

There is no such "original" restriction on in-store purchases.

This is a Staples rebate, the rebate is going to Parago, the REBATE RECEIPT works. If you ordered on line you have an on line receipt which works too although they say they want the packing slip instead. When Staples reprints a receipt on cash register tape it says DUPLICATE RECEIPT on it but there's no date on the receipt. Don't know why its programmed this way but there's no date so its useless for rebate purposes.

What scumbags. My $165 rebate for Peachtree pro was invalid because of "missing serial #", which is bullshit for several reasons.

1) I pre-submitted the rebate online @ rebateshq by filling out the required info, where *if* they asked for it, I certianly put it, lest I would not have been given a printable pre-filled rebate form to mail in the 1st place.

2) You have to register the software at Sage to get a reg and cust # which both were provided on the rebate form mailed in (I wrote them in since there was no line for them), and in order to get a valid cust & reg # you need to supply the valid serial # to Sage.

3) And most importantly, on the rebate requirements on the form it does NOT request the serial #.

Well I called rebateshq, gave them the serial # and now *I* have to wait another 2 months to get my damn check?

What a scam, that shit must be expedited since it's their fault.

Plus, I NEVER even got a postcard Re: this mess. I only discovered this underhandedness becausee 8 weeks had already passed since my submission & I decided to check online.

Maybe it was a punitive tactic because they could see I'm making some money off the deal. Who knows.

Beware of this bullshit.

just a quick update to say, FW is really awesome.

I was easily able to find the # for rebateshq/parago Corp in Deal Discussions forums, called them, explained the situation, and my check will be out in one week.

Very helpful.

Thanks to FW!
