Nice deal , great little printer and definitly worth $60 for a new unit . I paid $45 for mine (refurb) from a past Staples deal ; but it works fantastic so no complaints .

Bonus Rewards will be issued in the next statement cycle. This isn't based on percentage. Therefore, you will get FULL bonus rewards. I've used coupons many times on deals like this and have gotten all my rewards and benefits.

FYI bonus rewards and VISA gift cards are different. This promotion is for a $30 VISA gift card, which gets mailed to you 6 to 8 weeks after purchase. Bonus rewards post to your MaxPerks account a few days after purchase, and are included on the following months statement.
Ordered this last night, but just went to Best Buy to check it out. It's really bulky and much bigger than my LaserJet 1018. Wireless is an advantage, but it has a much bigger footprint for a small apartment. I think I'm going to cancel.

The $99.99 ($69.99 AR) one at Staples is refurbished from what I can tell. $150 for the brand new one.
Woohoo! I bought one last winter for the same price. The $30 debit card came quickly. Time for another one for the office! Regarding the footprint, the paper is entirely contained inside the printer, as opposed to my Samsung and HP printers which have paper sticking out. Just something to consider.

You don't get the $30 card for signing up for MaxPerks. Once you sign up, you need to make sure you have your MaxPerks card # entered on the order page when ordering this printer.
You then will receive a $30 VISA gift card in the mail approx. 8 weeks after you order the printer.
No confirmation will pop up saying you will receive this, except the advertisement on the product page which tells you about the $30 offer.

Can you tell me what generic cartridges from Monoprice you are using for the HL-2170W?

Hmm they have a really easy cartridge search function on the site...
Couldn't get it to add to cart this AM for the 17601 zipcode.

I recently bought a Canon MX860 inkjet. I am unhappy with the print speed for lots of black and white text. Will laser printers like this beat the pants off my MX860? Will I get actual speeds of 20 ppm as I might get with a high volume graduate school printer? Or will I have the same problem? Thanks for your help.

LaserJet 1018: 14.6 x 9.5 x 8.2 inch Brother HL-2170W: 14.2 x 6.7 x 14.5 inches
The Brother fits nicely on a lower shelf of my desk because of the shallow height. As for depth, the only dimension where the Brother is larger, it has an internal paper tray where the HP looks to have an open tray that extends in front of the machine, would would give them about the same depth in daily use.
