Can't get it in my card. Looks like ecomm.Dell.com is currently down.

Finally got the purchase to go through! I can't believe this is (finally) back, I'm just hoping that it actually ships.

Causey, thanks so much for posting this here.

You're welcome. I too was amazed to see it was real... And until it gets in my hands I'll tremble. Well, that's a figure of speech.

I just ordered one! Thanks!

is it true that E-IPS is worse than VA panels?

Comparison

just ordered 1 but looks like i might not get it until mid-Oct.

Dang it! I just bought a 24" Samsung HD monitor at Costco last week! I'd much rather have the IPS monitor.

Great post -- it does portrait!

Thx OP! Have been meaning to get this monitor! GREEN!

did anyone check their order status? mine says shipped already!?!

Just a head up, CA tax and State Environmental Fee would bring the total to $235.33 shipped.

Mine shipped too. Should have it on Sept. 2nd!!!

Thanks OP!

I've been waiting for a great deal on this monitor for a while now (and for it to be back in stock).

I don't know about anyone else, but I also linked through Fatwallet to see if I can get the 1.5% Cash Back for Dell small business in addition to the other discounts.

Put my order in. Thanks very much, dude! I was going to spend $200 on a TN 24" from Costco but this is much better!

ordered thanks.

anyone knows if this is also good for gray scale imaging, like for medical xrays, etc.?
(at least better than TN?)

These are SHIPPING NOW!!! i placed my order at 9 PM EST last night and it's already shipped!

This is a really good monitor. I returned the Viewsonic to Costoc with this one, no more color problems with Mac.

Mine has shipped already also, I simply cannot believe it. I despise Dell for what they've done with my Mini 9, but this is just too good to pass up. I figured that this order was surely going to be cancelled.

If anyone is on the fence about this monitor, I STRONGLY advise you to get it immediately. All reviews say text is perfect, colors exceptional, viewing angles spectacular. It disappeared off the Dell website for a month or two and will almost certainly vanish again ASAP. You will regret it if you wait to do more research on comparables ... you absolutely cannot get an IPS monitor like this for anything even remotely close to this price. Five 2209WA eBay auctions from last week ended up selling for $260-$300 and I was seriously considering jumping on one of them even at that price.

Is this monitor good enough for gaming and movies watching?

Got one a couple of months ago @ $200.88+ tax and using/looking at it right now.

Looking at the original posters information he provided, yes.

"The 2209WA features a response time of 5 ms that helps prevent smearing and ghosting, whether you are playing a game or watching the latest swash-buckling thriller!"

The 10% coupon 7LXC0FZZR54P3X is gone.

Is there another coupon? Badly need a new monitor.

This is no longer a hot deal as there is no other stackable coupon.

I have three of these, I use two together on my machines (via a KVM) and wife has a third. I am a pretty picky person in general and these panels are fantastic up till these I did not see a sub $300 LCD that I liked. Up until these I had a Sony FW900 which was widely considered one of the best CRTs ever. These are generally better than the FW900, really everything other than black level. I highly recommend them. I work from home two days a week and I soooo much prefer these to the c--p LCD panels my work gives me.

Do the coupons on eBay stack? I'm trying to decide if I want to wait for a stackable coupon or buy it at $231.20 + tax (probably 2x).

edit: Ordered anyway at $231.20. I don't want to wait and see these go away again!

I placed my order today. The confirmation e-mail said the estimated ship date was October 10. It shipped today! Yay!

It should be here by Wednesday at the latest. Can't wait. This would be the first LCD screen I own that is not TN.

Ordered this morning and got a shipping notification this evening! WOOT!!

Great monitor.

Anyone know if it is possible to plug in 2 Monitors at the same time (one VGA one HDMI) and run them on a Dell Studio 1735?

Really want to have a 3rd Screen.

Does anyone know if this Monitor is capable of HD (full HD 1080p)?

Anyone know if this is 16:10?? I can't find it in the specs. but the shape looks like a 16:10.

Thanks

1680x1050 pixels resolution provides sharp and brilliant images of text and graphics. 16:10.

i've got a pair of these on my desk in my office from the last deal a couple of months ago. HIGHLY recommend them!

deal is dead, waiting for another round

This deal may be dead, but the fact that it is in stock is a deal in itself.

Skipping 7 Messages...

If you've got the money, the Panasonic 37" L37S1 is an awesome IPS monitor. I just bought it to replace my Westy 37" and I'm impressed. The only issue I have is that you have to connect via HDMI to get 1920x1080 resolution and it's unviewable at 60 hertz (I have it at 24 hertz, interlaced and it's much better).
