I've been waiting for a great deal on this monitor for a while now (and for it to be back in stock).
I don't know about anyone else, but I also linked through Fatwallet to see if I can get the 1.5% Cash Back for Dell small business in addition to the other discounts.
Mine has shipped already also, I simply cannot believe it. I despise Dell for what they've done with my Mini 9, but this is just too good to pass up. I figured that this order was surely going to be cancelled.
If anyone is on the fence about this monitor, I STRONGLY advise you to get it immediately. All reviews say text is perfect, colors exceptional, viewing angles spectacular. It disappeared off the Dell website for a month or two and will almost certainly vanish again ASAP. You will regret it if you wait to do more research on comparables ... you absolutely cannot get an IPS monitor like this for anything even remotely close to this price. Five 2209WA eBay auctions from last week ended up selling for $260-$300 and I was seriously considering jumping on one of them even at that price.

Is this monitor good enough for gaming and movies watching?

Looking at the original posters information he provided, yes.
"The 2209WA features a response time of 5 ms that helps prevent smearing and ghosting, whether you are playing a game or watching the latest swash-buckling thriller!"
I have three of these, I use two together on my machines (via a KVM) and wife has a third. I am a pretty picky person in general and these panels are fantastic up till these I did not see a sub $300 LCD that I liked. Up until these I had a Sony FW900 which was widely considered one of the best CRTs ever. These are generally better than the FW900, really everything other than black level. I highly recommend them. I work from home two days a week and I soooo much prefer these to the c--p LCD panels my work gives me.
iamvince said: This is no longer a hot deal as there is no other stackable coupon. Do the coupons on eBay stack? I'm trying to decide if I want to wait for a stackable coupon or buy it at $231.20 + tax (probably 2x).
edit: Ordered anyway at $231.20. I don't want to wait and see these go away again!
If you've got the money, the Panasonic 37" L37S1 is an awesome IPS monitor. I just bought it to replace my Westy 37" and I'm impressed. The only issue I have is that you have to connect via HDMI to get 1920x1080 resolution and it's unviewable at 60 hertz (I have it at 24 hertz, interlaced and it's much better).
