REI had these awesome Timbuk2 bags on clearance during their Labor day sale, and now it appears they marked some of them down some more. If you aren't familiar, Timbuk2 bags are amazing, relatively ecofriendly, carry a ton of stuff, are made of waterproof materials, and are incredibly durable. They also have a life time warranty (excluding wear and tear). All in all amazing bags for those of us who carry the "world" (aka all of our crap) on our backs during the day/bike ride.
Just bought a covert medium for $$41.83. Retails for $150. I didn't like the color selection for the classic, but covert had an all black option, which I have been waiting for to go on sale. Link
$40 is a good price for this bag, but it was cheaper last week at REI's Labor Dale sale last wek. I picked up a size medium Timbuk2 messenger bag for $34 and a size small for $24. http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/944378/

Did you get the classic or the covert? Classic retails for half the price of covert, materials are different. Covert has reflective material for nighttime use. Anyways, a good deal for those who missed the other sale.

FYI, it's from REI outlet. Dunno if there are any differences between REI vs REI outlet.

REI outlet mostly sells last year's products at a discount price. Products are all first quality, but may have style and color differences vs. this year's products. You can still ship free to a local REI store and get all the normal customer return privileges.
