I got excited because I saw it supports wireless transmission in another room and thought these little speakers were wireless. That would have been perfect. But alas they are wired speakers.
There is a wireless rear surround sound speaker kit but it's another $100, it only provides wireless ability for the two rear surrounds, and it has an additional receiver you need to find room for.
Also the price on the system has dropped significantly at some places. For example electronics expo has it for $217 + shipping.
lens4sale said: Great Price! The item has been priced above $250 from its price history chart and you will need to pay shipping fee anywhere else.
It's definitely a good price, around $50 less than available elsewhere with shipping factored in, but this is no longer a $600-$700 item like it used to be.
It's marked down because it sucks. I've heard these and they're horrible. Those tiny speakers are a joke - these make Bose sound fantastic by comparison
lens4sale said: Just curious why its price shrinks so fast? Amazon.com is still selling it at $415. However, seem other dealers have marked down the price a lot.
Sony has probably discontinued this and is selling stock to some stores at a low price to clear them out. The places like Amazon that have it for the higher prices are probably selling the stock they had before Sony discounted it so they have to sell it for more or they lose money.
Is the subwoofer really that big or are the satellites really tiny?

Satellites are crazy tiny. I saw an article with them where they were next to a strawberry of the same size. Saw these last night at BB for $212, last item/display model, but I think one of the sats was missing and I think it was the one with the IR sensor.
Be Carefull when you buy this system. The speakers (golf ball size) cannot produce enough volume to fill a normal size room. Great for a smaller room like a closet or bathroom. You can do much better with similar priced systems from Sony and Samsung if you don't mind a little larger speaker system.

OP, please remove "Smoking Hot" from the title. This should be saved for deals (or pics) that ARE smoking hot.

someone posts a bonafide deal and guess what, a NEWBIE comes along and trashes the deal, i thought SD, my mistake, i meant FW, was for posting deals of any kind . . . and this deal is a real deal, i saw a trashed HT-IS100 at BB for $299 a display and it was scratched all over, missing remote, no instructions, no wires, maybe camackerman would want the BB deal instead

The "regular" price for this is about $250-$260 shipped, no tax, and before any CashBack. I have to agree that $200 + tax is a warm deal but not a smoking hot deal. However, the OP's effort is still appreciated.

sunfish...easy tiger. just felt the title was misleading. yeah, i haven't had a login at FWF for more than a year, but that doesn't impact me being able to distinguish a "smoking hot" from a "good" deal on a speaker system. maybe i should have added a smiley face.

See, I see it differently. These have been available (on and off) for around $260 shipped with a little timing and luck. And that was a hot deal if you wanted them and got them at that price. Gett'in these at $200 shipped is hotter yet, ergo "SMOKIN".
Thalaivar, you caved on Cracker-man. His avatar isn't nearly as mesmerizing as yours, and he's got no deal to post. Where does this punk come off asking the mighty Thalaivar to "please remove..." yahddah yahddah.
