Edit by Moderator- Clarified to title to show correct information.

Will they have the extra Samsung discounts again?

the bra on page 4 looks like a good deal. $3.99

Also on Nov.15,6-9pm.

I am dumb please help me. On the page with the panasonic viera television for $1025 where it says "Take an extra 10% off panasonic tv's" the tv is $1025+tax out the door or is there an extra 10% that is not reflected in the price? Does anyone know what model this is? I am wondering if it is the THX model?. If it is the THX model then the price seems real good even at 1025$ I hope this is the step up from the S1.

I am looking to get a fridge and dishwasher at the event. The saleswoman told me the drawback will be they will not offer the usual rebate on the delivery, so that means no free delivery .

Thank you for your polite response. It did say additional. That is what confused me.

Anybody know if we'll see the return of Bing - Sears Cash Back. I think it's at 2% or something like that.

I changed the title. This is actually an all day event!

R u Saying I do not have to wait 'till 4PM to get the FF price on a new Fridge and dishwasher?
I am also curious if there is any reason I should do this transaction in the store dealing with the crowd, when I can do it online in the comfort of my home, and the %2 FW cash.
Anyone have any opinion on that?
I am looking at a Kenmore Side by Side Model#5814 now $1519 , and kenmore dishwaher model#13173 now $1280 , so looking to get the best deal on these I can. Thanks for any input

Public Service Company of Oklahoma is offering instant $50 off on all energy star Refrigerators in the store, in Tulsa OK Sears only. I don't know if your local electric company is doing the same promo or not. Ask your local Sears appliance associate about it.

I usually order something online to take advantage of the promotional price and pick up at the store day(s) later.

I've never done one of these sales before. How will you get special discount online that day? Can someone explain how it works?

I received an e-mail from Bing which has Sears as their Special Merchant:

"Search for Sears products on Bing.com and earn Cash Back on your purchase. Find tons of fall-inspired prices on items like electronics, fall fashion, football gear, and more!
For one day only on 10/4, save big during Sears' Friends and Family event! You can find amazing deals and earn up to 10% Cash Back."

When I followed the link to Sears the final Bing screen said it was for 10%. There was no "up to 10%"

I believe the Panasonic S1 50" plasma is actually $999, and the G10 50" is 1299. Both would have a discount of 10% during the event, then another possible 10%(or 24 months no interest) with Sears card, then another 5% for the event.

So if my math is correct(and i work there), it's something like 770ish for the S1, and right around 1000 for the G10. The Sony 46V5100 model is also right at 1000 after all the discounts, the 52v5100 is about 1150. This assumes you use the instant Sears card 10% off coupon. IIRC, there is still free delivery and setup(roughly $265 value) on Panasonic Plasmas >46"

The special extra 10% off discounts are on Panasonic Plasmas >46" and Sony LCD >46" Everything >40" that night gets 5% off.

All of this is subject to change, I sometimes won't even know which promos work until right before the sale starts(usually system loads pricing at 530)

No extra samsung discounts this time.

wonder how the "all tires are on sale" is... I need 4 new tires before the NE Ohio snow hits.

Argh! Waited for the sale and the free shipping rebate for appliances is GONE... guess I'll have to wait for the sale to be over when things are on sale again.

Wow. I was looking at a portable dishwasher, and the friends and family price is actually higher than it was yesterday for the item I wanted. i used to think that Sears was a decent company. Grr.

I made mention of that on first page.

I went in mid week.
Kenmore fridge was 20% off $1899.99 save $380 so was $1519.99.
Was told by sales person it would be better deal on Sunday. I would get %20 off then another %10 off. Checked with several sales people all confirmed.
Now Today Sunday (FF all day ONLINE 6-9 in store) SAME price. They just play with the numbers. Still comes out to ttl of %20 off (kenmore 58143 side by side) BUT NO REBATE on delivery so cost me $65 more today. Way to go Sears!
whirlpool was 25% off on 3 day weekend sale, well price went up today. Spent half an hour with them on the phone NO MATTER how the woman tried she could not get the order thrshe kept making me start over with email and home adr. I simply said forget it this is NOT worth it.

With these price changing antics sounds like they should call this sale we have NO Family or Friends.........

Is there a flyer anywhere showing the 25% off whirlpool as the three day sale? the dishwasher I wanted is a whirlpool, so it was cheaper with the three day sale than it is with their 'friends and family' discount

My math gives me the same number as yours...can all of these discounts be had online from 6pm-5am? Or is the extra 10% in-store only?

Right now, I see the 5% discount automatically applied to the TV. The 10% Sears card discount is a rebate form and I have that....so my only concern is the extra 10% on Panasonics.

Here is what I am getting for Panasonic G10:

Sale price: $1299.99
Instant discount 10%: -$130
Price in cart: 1169.99

Sears card 10% rebate (10%): $117
Price ex-Sears Card rebate: $1052.99

So where is the extra 5%/10% you guys keep talking about?

Also, Bing is showing 10% off for Sears. So the net price becomes: $947.69

Tax in GA (7%) on pre-rebate amount of $1169.99 = $81.90

Net cost w/tax: 1029.59 - a extra 5% - 10% will make this deal perfect!

BTW, is $200 installation MIR gone? I can't see it anywhere.

^ What's the big difference between the S1 and G10...sorry for my ignorance.

edit: I see THX mode, Viera Cast, and more inputs (VGA, ethernet)...anything else?

I see, for the S1,

Sale price: $999.99
5% instant discount: $-50.00 [This shows in the cart as: "Family & Friends Extra 5% on HDTVs 40in & larger. Valid on Sold by Sears.Valid until 4am 10/5."]
Price: $949.99

Sears card rebate (10%): $95.00
After rebate total: $854.99

FWIW, I bought a washer during the August F&F Night, and I actually got the $75 Free Shipping Rebate, even though the rebate form specifically excluded F&F purchases made that day -- the online rebate submission went through without a hitch.

And even today, the Sears Appliance Starter Page still states "Free delivery always an option, even next day", and when you click on "Learn More"...

The Blue Crew Starter Page repeats "Free delivery always an option, even next day", and then when you click on "*see details>", the following pops up:

Free Standard Delivery and Haul away after online or mail-in rebate on appliances over $399. Standard delivery includes delivery within the local delivery area Monday through Friday and delivery not requiring additional services or time. Maximum rebate value $75. Excludes KitchenAid built-in refrigeration. Next Day Delivery requires purchase before 3:00 pm and excludes special orders and closeouts. Next Day Delivery and Installation are for eligible appliance purchases online in most major markets and in-store in most larger Sears stores and exclude holidays. Next Day Installation also excludes weekends. See store for details.

No question that it's a YMMV, but if I were buying today, I'd definitely TRY for the $75 Rebate!
.

I went to Sears today to look at a refrigerator. We picked one that had a pretty good price tag on it and asked the guy about the sale price in store later today. He said the prices would change before the sale and go up in price, then be discounted during the sale. Then he saw the price tag we were looking at and said oh this expired yesterday. He pulled the tag off and the tag behind it was 300 dollars more.

So we said is that the current price or the price later today or what? He said it was the current price but again said things would change later but maybe not this one since it was cheaper for the last 2 days and went up already today.

We showed him the online price from the Sears website we printed up this am and it was the same as the price we saw a few minutes earlier. He said he would sell it to us for that price and give us free delivery. But he couldn't sell it to us at that price and the discount. He did admit that these sales and pricing policies are confusing.

We left without buying anything.

I sure learned a lot about Sears sales today!

IIRC the old sales on major appliances were 20% off on KM and KM Elite plus 10% more for F&F. Now, not so much. A slipery slope indeed. So much for our oven purchase.

There was no additional 5% for the event for G10 50". Also, It was not clear to me if the $200 installation MIR was still valid with the 10% off they were giving. The rebate link said valid until 10/10/09 but the pdf had it expiring on 9/27/09, iirc. Another 5% and I would have pulled the trigger. I really feel bad for the salesman who was so nice about showing me the TVs and answering my questions for about 30 minutes. But Bing 10% is lot of money and I doubt he can match that. Although I didn't ask.

I did well in the end. Refrigerator with free shipping, 20% plus 10% off, used $30 coupon and there's a local utility $50 rebate.

Bottom line 619-124-49.50-30-50=365 delivered. Oh, and there's another 1% back on the charge card making it around $360. Cool.

Thanks for posting how to do this.

Hey-
Sorry if I confused anyone. All the better discounts were from actually going to the store, vs. buying online.
