This is a great deal for those with no Wii (all two of you). $199.99 is the new MSRP, but the $25 gift card, free shipping and no tax (for most) makes it a sweet deal leading up to the holidays.
Crazy to me that just yesterday the Wii was only $50 less than a PS3, and now it's almost half the price, factoring in the gift card! Crazy. I'm sure the fact that Nintendo has so few people to sell it to anymore is causing this issue.

This is a hot deal. It might get better for the holidays though. I was fortunate enough to receive one myself last holiday as a gift! Still love it.

Thanks OP... I guess I'm the other one... and I'm picking up one at this price.
i snoozed, i lost. My thought process went... why take a game with outdated graphics, no HD... but then i realized i like playing the game and that is what counts... by then it was too late!

I live in a state/county with a combined 7% sales tax. The addition of the $25 gift card (12.5% of purchase price brings my total savings up to 19.5% over what I would have paid locally, in a B&M store.
Does anyone know what states Amazon has a presence in ... and a buyer would have to pay tax in?
i live in seattle, wa and get taxed 9.5% for Amazon purchases. Sucks.
I believe NY gets taxed also due to some bogus NY law.

Bwahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
It's hard to beliee that this system was released 3 years ago and they just dropped the price for the first time.
Much harder to believe that people are THRILLED that they dropped the price for the first time after three years. Wii is a marketing dream product.

I compared Costco with Amazon and Best Buy as well. Costco costs the most out of the 3 if purchased online. Shipping is NOT free for Costco (~$12) and you'll probably have to pay tax. Amazon is $199 - $25 (gift card) with free shipping and no tax for most, and Best Buy is $199 (1% Cash Back on eBates, not sure about Bing or other Cash Back sites) and no shipping if there's a Best Buy near you (for pick-up)
