I was about to renew my subscription for the 160 count tea bags PG Tips tea when I found that the 240 count was not only cheaper, but applying the coupon PGTPS444 would decrease the price from 31.xx to 18.xx. You can order as many as you like now (make sure to click subscribe) and you can cancel your subscription anytime after they deliver the first order. Linkazon One of the best English teas around. Coupon expires October 31st.

Wow, that is an amazing price for my favorite black tea. It is strong, so it goes a long way too. When I make tea from the US (generally green or herbal), I have to use twice as many bags.
I can't get it for as low a price as you. I tried it with subscription every 6 months. I get thgis then Items: $31.14 Shipping & Handling: $7.29 Super Saver Discount: -$7.29 Magazine Promotion: -$0.00 Promotion Applied: -$7.79
Total Before Tax: $23.35 then try adding code PGTPS444 and it does not change. Apparenty by subscribing it IS SAME AS ADDING CODE?
My error. I highlighted every six month tab but DID NOT hit subscribe now. Price now $18 n chg. Thanks again OP
How odd is this - yesterday I thought a deal for this tea would be nice, since I am about to run low on my teabags (such an ugly word these days)
Thanks OP!

Nice price
I made a mistake and gifted one of them to my friend from the same deal you mentioned. So I've been drinking the Canadian Tetle for some time. I ordered 5 and it should last a long time.
So, how should I prepare this tea? I have about 400 of the 480 teabags I ordered from Amazon some time ago, and I'm still trying to enjoy drinking it. Maybe I'm steeping it too long?

Steep 2-5 min. depending on your strength preference with boiling hot water. after steeping, then add whatever sweetener and/or milk/cream you want
If you're doing an entire tea-pot, use 2 bags and steep 5-9 min.
I steep mine 5 min, and take it with 2.5 tsp. sugar, and a splash of milk.

I agree with other replies that they brew strong. FWIW If you are only making one cup at a time, I would suggest using a lot of water (bigger cup), even if you do not use it all, as opposed to steeping for less time.
Thanks OP, I was on my 4th & last box from the last year's deal. Time to grab a few more again. Like folks mentioned above, these brew strong. After a 1 minute seep, my tea is pretty strong. Sometimes I forget and leave it in for over 10 minutes and it looks like coffee almost.
I am using TETLEY Round tebags for last 7 years used to buying it for $2 for 80 pack it is not coming on sale for a long time now and regular is around $3/80 this super sales price will be same ($18/480 = 3/80) is PGTIPS really much better than Tetley ROUND? Thanks in advance in case you tried both and can comment.

I've had both- actually, I've had a gamut of black teas and keep returning to PG Tips for my general everyday tea.
Tetley Round, to me, while having the strength of PG Tips, was more floral in aroma. PG Tips has less of that and is definitely more earthy and slightly (very slightly) fruity.
If I recall correctly, it was hard to overbrew the Tetley- whereas PG Tips definitely requires a bit of watching to keep it on the right side of bitter... To me, it's worth it- as I don't go for that flowery kind of drink...
But, if you've been using it for 7 years- it must be, exactly, your cup of tea. I wouldn't be changing it, to be frank, unless forced to.
(My brew: 14oz. mug filled to 12oz. direct from the electric kettle with 2 bags of PG Tips waiting- 3 to 3 1/2 minutes to steep- splash of milk- and you have a cuppa that you can stand your spoon up in and smile at the morning.)
A decade ago I used the PG Tips as I lived in the UK. Then I switched to Tetley British Blend. I actually enjoyed the flora notes and the less bitter quality of the Tetley British Blend. Last year I switched back to the PG Tips mostly due to the Amazon special and I didn't have a coupon to use on Tetley.com (you can order the tea there much cheaper than in the stores). I can't say that I've really enjoyed my PG Tips. I think I like the more mellow and fragrant Tetley British Blend. But, my partner absolutely loves the PG Tips. So, I'd say order small batches of both and decide. I'll order more PG Tips as we are very low, but I am going to order more Tetley for me.
Great deal. Interesting how the consensus best tea bags are Tetley and PG tips! We've been using Tetleys but I went in for several of these boxes and I'm pleased. Yes, there definitely seems to be more of a danger of oversteeping, whereas Tetleys is more forgiving. I love how this thread brought out all the Anglophiles!
