Raspberry appeared to be in stock when I checked a few minutes ago---but now I'm getting a server error when I try to add it to the cart. Sorry, may be OOS. Will keep checking and update thread if it comes back in.

As I said yesterday I was able to order this in Aqua before it sold out, but I just received an email that the camcorder is on backorder
I called the customer service and they said the maximum an item can be on backborder is 2 weeks, but it will probably ship in less than that.
Also, I did some searching and found this Rechargeable Battery that is compatible with the Zi8 at Overstock.com for $6.50 shipped! I just ordered one, thought I'd share the link: Kodak KLIC-7004 at Overstock.com

Yeah, but I wasn't sure if that website was reliable... plus it ships from china so it will take at least two weeks...
The site I use to buy from china and am very happy with is DealExtreme, I got a 4gb SDHC microSD card with SD adapter for $9 a while ago.. I'm going to see how well that works with the camcorder... then probably buy a bigger SD on Black Friday...
Oh, and despite the "Backorder" status, my Kodak Zi8 in aqua has shipped, just got the email notification....
I was talking about "charger", not "adapter". There IS an adapter in the box, but a charger. The only way to charge the extra batteries you have is to install them - one by one - in the camera, then plug in the adapter; that sucks. (I'm sure if you're on a trip, you'll need plenty of charged batteries).
Heck, will have to hunt for a charger for this Zi8.

Mine came with a thingie that plugs into a wall outlet and has a USB connection on the bottom. A cable goes from that to the DC In on the camcorder.
Is that what you mean?
If you didn't get one of those and Kodak is not planning on providing you with one, there are several on eBay. There are also extremely inexpensive sets consisting of a compatible battery and the piece that plugs into the wall.
I admit to being really picky now because I am so ticked off with Kodak over the way that they handled this last coupon special. However, there are budgetary limits and if I have to buy four more wall plugs, in addition to four more USB extension cables and four more SDHC cards, it would exceed the limits of my generosity, even if the gifts are for my grandchildren.
Please again clarify what you did not get in your package that you were expecting.
I called what you described an adapter; the Kodak ZI8 one techincally is just like an AC adapter of laptops (you can call laptop's AC adapter a charger if you want to). What I meant is a standalone charger that charges the batteries directly, without having the camcorder involved.
