Great deal overall if you can use the Sears card rebate. I'm happy with the $710 net price on my LG 50PS60 plasma I got a month ago in the August deal, but for an extra 5" in size and an LCD, this is a great deal. Prices have been plummeting so fast lately on both plasma and LCDs, I wouldn't buy anything unless you needed to buy something right now (opportunity was perfect timing for me a month ago). It just seems there is no bottom to the falling prices yet.

I was reading the Sears rebate and is this correct. If you get the Sears gift card instead of the prepaid master card you get an additional 10%. Or is that additional 10% you have to buy something first or is it included with the first 10%?

And $710 net price for the 50PS60 I wish Ive seen that when you got it haha.

Oh man, I was just debating getting the Panasonic 50" Plasma @ Sears for $750 after taxes...now I don't know!

Think I should wait until Black Friday?

ziptree, I posted the information I used to make my decision here. I recommend you look at both and read up a bit before deciding. I think at 50" plasma looks better (though I curtained my room). The price for the plasma will allow you to buy a nice home theater or a blu-ray player -- both if you shop. For me, that would be the way to go.

No sales tax in Oregon, and that with without the extra Sears 5% or 10% that was going on at the time. Some got it even cheaper than $710 before tax...a few even after tax.

is there any LG model have internet connectivity like samsung?

This link shows a 5% discount on TV's. i don't know if this will affect the bing CB or not.

From the e-mail:
Search for Sears products on Bing.com and earn Cash Back on your purchase. Find tons of fall-inspired prices on items like electronics, fall fashion, football gear, and more!

For one day only on 10/4, save big during Sears' Friends and Family event! You can find amazing deals and earn up to 10% Cash Back.

haha how did I miss this deal. Now Imma need to wait for more deals to come out. Sure want a tv with the internet connectivity though. Plus, CA with ewaste and high taxes right there its going to be an extra $100.

that deal lasted for weeks, the 10% bonus is really just 1% additional (10% of 10%) for taking a Sears gc.

Wow that's a great price. Too bad I don't need another one or else I'd be all over this.

Wher do I find the rebate? I went to the site listed and didn't see a TV promotion for LG.

Edit: never mind, found it.

I still cant figure out how to get either of those 10% discounts, Im a newb, please help me...

Hi ziptree,
How are you calculating your price for the 50 inch plasma. Is it the 720p?

Thanks.

I ordered this earlier today and have never used my Sears card until today. What do I do to apply for the 10% rebate? TIA

at this point in time of the year, people commonly say wait until black friday but my experience has been that black friday deals are typically disappointing. even if the deal is sweet, frequently only the first 5 people get the deal and that requires more effort than i can put forth at my age. i dont doubt that prices will continue to fall somewhat but i dont see any magic in the day after thanksgiving.

Its the first post. Go to mysearsrebate.com

I'm keen to the idea of doing a price match to this at Best Buy and taking advantage of their current 0% interest for three years offer.

If i do this and open the Sears credit card, how long do I have to pay it off / how much would monthly payments be to avoid finance charges?

Wow, this is a nice deal, but I'm holding onto my Phillips 47" for a while longer until I get a job.

I'm looking at 1329 - 10% Bing cb..on the fence dont know what to do.... really tempting...btw this tv does not have the Internet capabilities..for that you need to go atleast LH55 I think.

I am unable to find any info about a rebate for this tv on mysearsrebate.com. What am I missing?

Is the 10% bing CashBack dead? When I copy and paste in bing.com/CashBack/go?c=299047μ=www.Sears.com&mscbg=1 in my browser, I get an error.

When I search for Sears on bing CashBack, it says 2 to 8% Cash Back. How do I know it it is 2% or 8% before I purchase?

Damn this is extremely tempting

Try OP's other option:

Search for Kenmore on BING.COM

I was able to get the 10% on bing by searching for Sears Cash Back. There was a link a few down, and after I clicked on it, it said 10% Cash Back for Sears.

Thanks OP, I was looking for a deal on a large LCD tv for the last month or so.

Anyone here disappointed it's not LED backlght? Yes still a good deal.

Rebate isn't good for instore purchases and comes as a Prepaid Mastercard.

Topic needs to be revised. That is NOT the price anymore (as of 4am this morning).

US Appliance will price match any web/b&m advertised price with 110% guarantee and they also offer 5% bing cb. I just checked US Appliance's web and they had it for 1499.00 with free shipping. I submitted a pm check to see what they will come back with and will post the price.

Yes, really. (I had to Wikipedia "ORLY" to know what you gamer geeks mean by that.)

BTW, what model is it?

Sounds like another decent deal. I just hate to pay the onerous over 10% sales tax that my State/County levies. I have to find elsewhere

FYI, I was finally able to get Bing to accept the 10% CashBack. It took about 6 emails (with a new person each time), but they finally got it.
