Fry's B&M Intel Core2 Duo E7500 cpu + MSI P43 Neo-F motherboard $99.99 DFW, maybe national?

limit 1 per customer both are boxed retail versions, per "DiscountDominator"'s post below

Intel P43/ 1CH10R motherboard specs and picture at Fry's
DDR2 1600 (O.C.)
PCI-E + IDE/SATA
GbE + 8 channel audio

E7500 ($120 on Fry's website)
* Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7500
* Architecture: 45nm, LGA775
* Cache: 3MB L2 Cache
* Clock Speed: 2.93GHz
* Front Side Bus: 1066MHz

Seems hot to me, why no green? Wish the board had spdif and firewire, but still a good deal.

Is the processor coming on the motherboard or separately in its own box?
Thanks.

Thanks.

typically they come in their own packaging. the ad doesn't say if the heatsink/cooling fan come with the cpu or not.

I picked up the combo this morning. They are both boxed retail versions.

Motherboard is $85 at the egg

ganjagadget, that's not the same board. This is it.

seems like pretty good deal.. might build a home server with this setup..

San jose mercury AD shows it's celeron. It could be misprint of Celeron E1500...

you should have specified which store. op states DFW, maybe national. would be nice for more confirmations.

It was in Houston. It was the E7500 Core 2 Duo in its own box not mounted.

Boxed retail processor E7500 in Austin TX. Picked one up.

Just picked one up in Alpharetta, GA (ok, "Milton", whatever). Both retail box for $100. Sweet deal, thx OP!

Also picked up a cheapo HDMI cable for FAR (6049648), a CyberPower 425VA UPS (4296164) for $20 AR ($5), and a CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 HSF (5940604) for FAR.

I wish we had Fry's B&M in MA....

I went to Frys in Fremont,CA and the cpu in the combo was CORE 2 DUO E7500. But they didn't have a brand new one but open boxed.

Thanks,OP! Got one from Frys at Sunnyvale, CA. The CPU is a Core 2 Duo E7500 in a retail box (3 yrs wty).

Note: There is a mistake in Mercury News ad( local newspaper). It stated that the combo comes with a "Intel Celeron E7500" CPU!

i miss not having a fry's by me i think it is the one thing I actually miss about Houston.

You should be more techy and fry will come like fly.

A few left in San Jose. They're running low on the MB...probably 4 or 5 left at 11:30. All new. the CPU was new in a retail box.

Board is P43 Neo with solid and electrolytic United Chemicon, TK, and OST caps. There is no warranty paperwork, but I suspect it's 3 yr?

CPU is boxed E7500 with 4-pin CPU cooler. My sample has pack date of 09/16/09 in Costa Rica with S-Spec SLGTE (Virtualization Technology enabled). Previous E7400 was able to hit 4.2GHz with 1.35Vcore in BIOS.

I got the combo, 4gb PNY RAM ($39 AR), the Diamond PCIE 6450 vid card ($40 AR), the $60 WD 1 TB Green HD, and a $60 Antec 650watt PS. The CSR described to me how FRY's sales commission works. Since the combo is a "loss leader" for Fry's, Fry's actually debits his sales talley by some amount. This is aggregious becuase Fry's actually penalizes their salemen for allowing me to buy such good deals. It is tremendous motiivation for the salesmen to "upsale" me. This shows where the retailer's real motivation is. Not some BS about serving the customer.

I was saddened to have taken money out of the very helpful saleman's pocket, but it made me feel good that I was getting a good deal on every component I bought, save maybe the PS.

I just grabbed one at the San Jose Brokaw. Only a few left.

I was at the Fry's here in San Diego @ 8:30AM (30 minutes after opening). I tried to get this, but the guy said all they had were the CPU's. The other CSR pointed out they had 1 mobo left, but it was an "open box return". . I passed.

I just left with the FAR HDMI cable.

LOL some idiot was in line with a box full of the FAR HSF's. I mean he had line 40 of them. I wish I stayed around to watch Fry's take all but one and put them under their counter, telling you "One per customer". They did that to me even when I tried buying just 2 packs of FAR photo paper a while back.

picked up combo in dallas. didn't know about the sales arrangment i only bought the combo. feel bad from my very nice sales guy who only half-attempted to upsell me additional junk i didn't need...

Confirmed in the ad for Wilsonville, OR -- No idea on availability

Awww man, I actually need this motherboard but no frys near where I live. I don't suppose that I can compensate someone to buy this do you?

Just came from San Marcos, CA store. They still have lots of it, but there're going fast.

DDR2 RAM is expensive now.

you bast.rds!

Thanks for the heads up OP..... I was just getting ready to build a system with an core2duo E7200 and MSI P35 motherboard that I had bought before.... now I can just sell those to someone and use these instead....

Got one for my Windows 7 Launch Party computer. Still a few left in Woodland Hills, CA.

Don't buy into that too much..or at all. Cause my bro actually works at Fry's. He gets no or minimal commission for the super good sales items, but it's not negative. They were just trying to give you a sob story.

is this motherboard overclockable?

Very nice deal. The board has OC jumpers that change FSB and corresponding strap latencies at 800, 1066, 1333, 1600 MHz. I don't think any other brand has this feature.

Renton WA sold out.
