I've got three XP machines with ECS mobos, including the G31T-M/Core 2 Duo 8400 I am typing from right now. They've been perfect, including running 24 hours a day for extended periods. Very good, basic mobos. Not a single regret owning them.

Skoda?
Have you looked at how high Skoda have risen these days?
Bad reference for a negative comment
ECS make decent boards anyway and even make them for other brand names - YMMV of course, just like any brand.Yep, I drove a Skoda diesel wagon in England in 2002. Got about 45 mpg. Great car!

I have an ECS G41T-M5 and the key issue with the board other then offering only the bare minimum hardware is taht it would only work with certain CPUs... would not even post with my Cel D 333Mhz but would work with a Cel 530 or the E5200.... another ECS 890 board would not boot after installing Windows XP with SP1. After installing a Win XP SP2 image it worked fine....! SO before buying an ECS board also check CPU and OS compatibility... may save your time and blood pressure level....

Not booting with SP1 on newer hardware is a well-documented XP issue, not a motherboard issue.
