Today is the 1 year anniversary of World of Goo's release, and 2dboy is offering a birthday sale of "Name your own price". The game is normally $20 but you can get it for as low as $0.01, depending on how generous you feel. Payment is made with PayPal.
it is a great game - unlike anything you have seen. I got it with one of those MacBundles- $50 for that and a bunch of other programs. And it was written literally by two guys - support your independent developers! Especially if you are tired of seeing the same games over and over.
(well, actually they used a lot of open-source stuff as a framework, and hired another programmer to help, but still - it is not your 50-person development team that all they can make is more of the same)
I don't know if this link will work, but after you pay with payPal it says that you should have gotten an email already, and if you didn't to click on a link that goes to....
It's a resource management puzzle game. You build things. Lots of really great behind the scenes physics stuff to make it all work. It's very simple, very easy to play, and very challenging at times. Extremely well-polished and fun! It's not a shooter, it's not a war game, and it's not multiplayer--though you can compare scores in one extra mini-game.
It's the kind of rare thing that can attract both "gamers" and people who don't play many games.

My email with download instructions showed up about an hour and a half after ordering. The server however is getting hammered and I haven't been able to actually download the game yet.
I own this game (bought it at full price 8 months ago) and I will definitely recommend this game. If you like puzzle games then you'll love this game. IMO it is worth buying at full price. I own 12 or so WII games and this has to be one of the top games I play. It's something you can grab and start playing quickly and don't need to commit hours to it at a time. So its fun to play for 20 minutes at a time or hours at a time. Its very addictive. Buy it!

So who here paid a dollar or less and is willing to admit it?
I wish more games out there would offer donations as a primary or alternative method of payment. Software piracy primarily exists because people don't want to pay $60 for a game they don't consider to be worth that much. Just like when they had that Left 4 Dead sale last spring where it was only $10, and they sold more copies in a week than they had in 6 months, this shows that more money could be made by actually lowering software prices. Since their site is being hammered, they're obviously getting a lot of traffic from this. Even if everyone only donates a dollar, this too could still work out to make them a lot more money than normal.

Donated this morning, and got an email back with receipt number but NO instructions on how to download. Sent another email to contact@2dboy.com and haven't received any response (it's been over eight hours).
Got in when this was first posted, got e-mail right away but was at work. Took forever for download page to work, but just tried and downloading now. Win32 = 64MB and it was a fast download. 11:17pm EST.
Still nothing and it's been over 10hrs. The little 'send me the email again' thing doesn't work either. I'm tempted to make another donation, this time of $0.01 just to see if I get the email.
completing: also, tons of free advertising from sites like this, arstechnica, slashdot, and so on. So not only did they squeeze some extra cash out of this game, they probably sold to quite a few people who haven't heard of it yet. They even posted some stats, saying the average price paid was a mere $2 and some change. They made almost no money from $1 or less because of the high paypal fees, but yet said it was overall worth it and hence the time extension. Many people bought it twice, or gifted to a friend too.
edit: oh yea, and steam sales went up too as well as a minor increase in Wii sales.
