I gave it red because it's Sears. Make sure you read the fine print on their sales. Last time it seemed that a very good appliance sale that would stack, but they had fine print that ended it before the friends and family began.

not a reason to red a deal. just because you have an issue w/the merchant doesn't mean it gets a red. since you are so red happy, I'm happy to give you red too!
edit: apparently you DID NOT read the fine print and now take it out on Sears because YOU thought you were entitled to something which you weren't. Obviously you're a sore loser because it was CLEARLY LISTED IN THE FINE PRINT about the sale rules to start with and now you trash them for your error.

BTW this F&F sale is actually better than the ones they've been running recently because it offers the Black Friday sales (except for early morning doorbusters).

because in this case he's taking out HIS error on Sears and the OP. you can't get angry at Sears if the rules are listed and you think you're entitled to a discount you are not. I think the Buy.com reds are for a much more widespread dissatisfaction with some of their tactics that may be justified if you're trying to alert people about a questionable merchant.
there was a time on FW that EVERY TigerDirect post got red.....people despised them for non-paid rebates, bait/switch, etc. so there it wasn't a consumer issue but a merchant issue once again to respond to you Bill.

They advertised a 2 day appliance sale in the same block where they were advertising a 3 day sale. They pushed for people to wait for the 'friends and family' sale when many appliance prices where actually higher during that sale.
I'm sorry that pointing out potential negatives of your deal is not acceptable to you. I simply meant to point potential issues out to other members so that they would not repeat my mistakes.

I appreciate your follow up, read some of the posts in that thread and understand the frustrations. It may be best to order online than in store it seems for large ticket items from some of the comments.

Hoping they have another TV deal like the Panasonic 50" 1080p plasma for $768 during the last F and F.
thanks for posting this...I was wondering when the next one would be. Any idea if they're still doing or will do the additional 10% off for using a Sears card?

I'm glad you got that. I tried it at my Sears and was Denied! "Sorry we don't stack the 5% F&F 10% panasonic AND the 10% for using your Sears card" so I can feel yourlefthand's pain.
Don or anyone who got the Panasonic TC-P50S1 for $768 the last time please post or PM me your receipt so I have something to fight the register tards next time at Sears.
They've got a very impressive list of exclusions in the fine print. Impressive that they even excluded DVD players. That must be new since I recall buying one last year during this sale (which I ended up returning, anyway).
Here's the list:
10%, 15% and 25% savings off regular, sale and clearance prices apply to merchandise only. May not be used to reduce a layaway or credit balance. Not valid on Special Purchases, everyday great price items, Price Drop items, Introductory Offers, LandsEnd.com, Lands’ End® merchandise on Sears.com, Excelled Leather, Celestial Star™ diamonds, Personalized Jewelry/Watches, Licensed Watches, custom jewelry, items powered by Shoebuy.com, Wittnauer, Steinhausen, EMC Outerwear, Sealy® Union LTD and Sertapedic® Oak Park mattresses, TVs under 40”, digital cameras, GPS, DVD players, computers, DVD movies, video games, video game systems, CDs, iPod®, converter boxes, Airtime Cards, baby gear and nursery furniture, fitness accessories, Electrolux, Electrolux Icon, Weber®, J.A. Henckels®, cooking accessories, fans, water heaters, air cleaners, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, floor care, sewing machines, countertop microwaves, Pharmacy, beer, wine, Sears licensed businesses, Sears licensed partners and web sites, Digital Services, “Sears Presents” web sites, catalog orders, Gift Cards, money orders and wire transfers. Associate discount may not be used in conjunction with 25% off Lands’ End® merchandise offer. Not valid on commercial orders or with any other coupons or previous purchases. In the event of a return, savings may be deducted from refund.
Not a Great Deal...looks like most Electronics excluded
TVs under 40”, digital cameras, GPS, DVD players, computers, DVD movies, video games, video game systems, CDs, iPod®, converter boxes, Electrolux, Electrolux , fans, water heaters, air cleaners, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, sewing machines, countertop microwaves.

I bought the 50", cancelled, reordered, and got paid Cash Back twice (2x$152) tu Bing!
You too? I ordered a LCD, then changed my mind and got the plasma. I had to call and cancel the LCD 'cause I didn't log in when I bought it, then the store called me to say that they didn't really have the plasma in stock so they canceled that, too, and I reordered from a different store. I got all three BCB credits. I figured it was the goofy circumstances that caused the error...not that I'm complaining.

I got the TC-P50S1 for $768 during the last F&F. It was 5% F&F 10% for panasonic over 42" and 10% for using Sears card. At first they were like no you can't do 10% for Sears card, but then the guy checked on the computer and turns out you could stack all 3. So don't take no for an answer if you go purchase this during f&f night.

I'm losing hope that there will be any fantastic deals this season. Seems like stores are limiting sales to maximize profit, which is understandable but will just keep people from shopping at all, and I suspect the stores won't be happy with the results. Maybe they'll ask for bailouts like the banks and car companies...
Well I have tried their( Sears) F & F night couple of times before in store as well online. Its pretty much useless. You generally get good prices on their regular sale. On F&F they don't have any regular sale price plus that 10% off is excluded from most of the things( pretty much all the electronics, tools and any brand names)..
you can probably get 10% off on some non brand name clothes but again you will be loosing another 50% sale that they regularly have...
Just my 2 cents from my experience..

Are mattresses excluded? In the market for one. Didn't see on the exclusion list but not sure if there're "finer" print.
va1234 said: comon ... discount not applicable on fitness equipment? I was hoping to buy a treadmill this thanksgiving ... am very upset. Fitness equipment makers rarely allow their goods to be discounted much, if at all, from my memory. If they do, it's usually not anything noteworthy or it's on outdated models they are doing away with.
I like how the thread posted 11/13/09 was locked because of this thread posted over 3 weeks early. Maybe some of us don't search out deals that appear to be a month old. Fatwallet sucks. Anyhow, got in on the freezer just after midnight CST for the same price in the ad. Forget going to the store, just order online now for in-store pickup. Oh yeah, also possibly got 8% Bing CB... funny how I go here to find some deals but always use Bing because it's usually twice as good or better. Thanks again, FW.
P.S. Mistercheap is a mo. Go tell daddy FW someone tried to steal your thunder big guy! Forget about the community, it's all about you and your original post. ;|
This doesn't give any info. How are you going to complain that someone reposted what you DID NOT really post? The other thread gave the ad with all the actual sales. MISTERCHEAP, all you gave us was this vague info that Sears would be having a sale three weeks out. That was useless.
Also, don't criticize for not checking before you post. YOU have copied my posts less than 20 minutes after I have posted deals at BabiesRUs/toysrus. Why don't YOU "pls search first"?
One caveat this year - for appliances, delivery is $65.
You have to choose between VIP extra 10% or the delivery rebate. Since delivery is usually free after rebate, the VIP deal is a wash for appliances costing $600-700
OTOH, 8% bing CashBack using "kenmore" does apply.

whatever, it was here, you should have just added to the thread rather create a new one. When I posted this WEEKS AGO, alot of the specific info was not yet available. and if I repost, I have no problem with someone asking me to 'please search first" which is what I said nicely. so pls calm down funk.
I am not able to see 8% for bcb with kenmore....It just says bing CashBack and no % is listed... I need to make an appliance purchase and would really like to get that 8%
bestpurchase said: I am not able to see 8% for bcb with kenmore....It just says bing CashBack and no % is listed... I need to make an appliance purchase and would really like to get that 8% For me, the Bing 8% didn't show up until I viewed my shopping cart. You may even have to start to checkout.
Once I got to checkout, before entering any credit card info, it was clearly shown, along with the extra 10% VIP savings.

Thank you so much... I got the 8% and it clearly showed my CashBack ....

I went to my store for the $899 Samsung PN50B530 Plasma. Come to find out there is a problem with the TV from Samsung and they are giving the PN50B550 instead for the same price (Sears had it in stock but there must have been some type of recall). I got 5% F&F and 10% Sears card on top so the $1399 list becomes $769 before tax. Great deal for a little better TV than I expected. Was not in stock though so I have to wait until the 24th but that is OK as I really had not planned to buy yet anyway.
Good deal for us, we wanted a new dishwasher- ended up with a stainless steel Kenmore at 20% off and was able to stack the 10% F&F with the $5 off $50 coupon, and the 8% bing CashBack!
