OFFER EXPIRES 11/22/2009
The purchased gift card can be for any amount. It must equal or exceed $25.00 to get the free $5.00 coupon. It never expires and has no dormancy fee. It is valid until you use it up or loose it. It cannot be replaced. You may verify the remaining value at the link.

UPDATE: The free $5.00 card is a one time use COUPON which means you must use the entire $5.00 at one purchase. You cannot buy $2.50 today and $2.50 tomorrow to get the max value out of the additional $5.00 card. IF your meal is $3.98 and you use the card, that is all you get. YMMV, but IMO, it should be stackable with other BM coupons.
Free $5.00 COUPON Expires 12/24/2009

FAN TASTIC !! I'll take two please!

Village Inn did this last year. It worked out GREAT !!!

  1. buy the GC for $25.00 get additional $5.00 COUPON
  2. Order
  3. give appropriate coupon
  4. pay with GC or additional $5.00 COUPON

Don't forget to use your Discover Card AFTER you register for the "Get More" promotion on DC's website or CS phone number. That's 5% CC rebate! ($1.25)

IF you do not have a DiscoverCard, you may apply using the FATWALLET link and participate in the FW CashBack rewards program.

10/25/2009 UPDATE: We did as above. It worked like a charm. Using our Discover-Cards, I bought one and Mom bought one. With the right coupon from previous promotions, we fed both of us for $6.94 including my drink. Net $3.06 profit before gas and $2.50 in Discover Card cc rebates made it a better deal.
Oh ... and they fed my nephew for free too. (red plate and drink)

Beware of the Discover 5% promotions. They have nasty limitations: they might say "limited to $400", but that is not the CashBack - that is the purchase totals, so in fact you will reach your limit very quickly.

and on a side note:I wonder if you can use a gift card to buy a gift card - that would be like printing your own money...

Your point on the 400.00 maximum purchases in restaurant, grocery, and movies in the 4th quarter is very valid.

Discovercard web site: said:Earn 5% CashBack Bonus on up to $400 in purchases, from October through December...

I know my store is very customer oriented, but I seriously doubt you can compound it by purchasing a GC with a GC. The GC program does have restrictions which I cannot pull up on the BM website.

Where did you find the "Get More" program on Discover Card website?

The "Get More" promotions are under REWARDS. I specified that phrase as that is what my web page calls it when I am signed into my account. When you sign in to your account, you should see REWARDS. When you click that, you should see a 5% logo like the one on the linked web page below:

Get More rewards Calendar

IF YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT DISCOVERCARD, YOUR REWARDS (gas/air travel, etc) PROGRAM MAY BE DIFFERENT. If that is the case, you would not collect the 5% that I referred to.

We did it AGAIN !! That's twice in three days!
Mom and I individually used our Discover Cards to purchase the $25.00 GCs w/the free $5.00 coupon.
We then purchased three family meals separately with a coupon on each. We paid for two family meals with the CGs just purchased and had change left over on one of them. We had then had a total of 4 of the $5.00 coupons. (two tonight plus two earlier) We ordered the third family meal with the free extra chicken coupon from the $1.00 charity coupon book. We paid for the meal with the 4 $5.00 coupons paying the balance with the $25 GC.
