I just confirmed the deal posted here is nationwide starting today. To take advantage of this deal, I bought the HTC touch pro 2 for $200. Yes I know there are free once out there, but with a requirement of $25/m for 24 months can add up to $600. Get it on wirefly today and enter in the code wireflyblue85 and you receive a free bluetooth 2.0 headset for free.

At wirefly the touch pro 2 is $599.99 with no contract. To get the phone from wirefly for $199.99 you have to agree to a 2 yr deal. They only offer the standard "even more" unlimited talk plan for $59.99 - same as TMO gets.

So I don't understand how this has anything to do with the new no-contract plans - since when you order for $200 from wirefly you are agreeing to a 2yr commitment or face a charge back.

Yes, it does LOOK like you can order one this way and not take the Internet package, but I am not sure I want a web-centric phone without web access on it. Of course, I guess TMO could also add the data package to your account for you later as it is required for this phone - even if wirefly failed to add it...

They dont offer just the unlimited talk for 59.99. You can change its to the 500 min + nights & weekends + mobile to mobile for 39.99, or the 1000 min plan. And yes not being in a contract is a good deal, but when I see a good rate, I like to lock it in. When better deals come out I have no problem calling in to change it.

I know it's easy to miss, but if you click on the link "more T-Mobile plans" you will have all the options

I think someone is smoking too much too early in the day...

All the available plans are locked into a contract for 2 years... where did you see it being contract free for $200??

Same here....Just to make sure, I tried with all the plans available and each one of them clearly includes 24 Months Contract at the checkout page.
OP...can you give more details how to get a plan without a Contract.
Thanks

The plans without a contract are only available right now direct from T-Mobile. They were launched today. You need to use your current phone or buy a new one at full retail price. I imagine they'll be on Wirefly soon but don't count on the $300 discounts you see with the regular plans.

We get that, what we don't get is the OP's "deal". I think the OP just had a "d'oh" moment and signed a 2 year contract via wirefly to get that price...

Yes I signed a 2 year contract. Most HTC touch pro 2 deals are free when you are required to buy a 2 year contract with the data plan. The data plan costs you $25/month. The wirefly 2 year contract does not require a data plan, but it does require a 2 year contract with tmobile.

The data plan was added automatically and can't be removed. Am I missing something?

Smartphone Unlimited Web $30.00/month
You will need the data feature below to enjoy the full functionality of your new smartphone. T-Mobile requires that you maintain this feature for the duration of your contract:

I tried both individual and family. It'd be nice since I don't need data.

The smart plan wasnt there this morning when I bought it.

No we didn't, there was no deal here to start with. First you mention the no contract plans and post a link, then you buy a phone NOT on that plan and sign a 2 year contract.

How is that a deal or even related to the no contract plans? It is not.

So you got a smart phone without a data plan, that is nice but seems to be a waste of your money. You are locked in for 2 years and have no data on a smart phone? Not too smart I don't think.

Why does he need a data plan if he can just use the wifi on the TP2?

Dennis, here is how you can becoming "smarter" like manifesto.

As long as you are in a hotspot, you don't need a Data Plan.
Once you are in a hotspot, you can still enjoy the features of a Smart phone using the integrated Wifi such as browsing the web, make free calls...

This is how you save $30 per month. If you like in the city like me, there are free wifi spot everywhere. I am surfing the web and making callsg using my phone for free.
