Bought a refurbished Sony Home Theater System from SonyStyle.com and received it DOA. They refused to replace it and since the nearest authorized repair center was 40 miles away I had to send it to their Laredo TX repair center at my own expense. Reseller Rating

I bought the 40" Z series bravia refurb from Sony style back in aug and am LOVING it....as many others have suggested to me highly recommend purchasing the 5 year extended service plan, i called Sony and got it for around $90. Any maintenance/work needed to be done on the tv supposedly costs way more than that.

This is the review in summary: Sony's midlevel KDL-46W4100 gets you solid dejudder video processing but otherwise its picture quality falls short of the top tier.

I too know this feeling and I am sorry they your wasted time.
I have had similar experiences with several different large corporations. These simple things should not come to this, but...
That said I recently had a ridiculous S.onyStyle experience as well. I find the corporate team of the segment responsible for an offense,caveat excluding e-bay, to have always worked with me to resolve any issue. S.onyStyle was very approachable in this way as well. In S.onyStyles case I wrote to Mike Fasulo the VP responsible for S.onyStyle, I had a response within hours and resolution in under 24 hours.
paraphrased email response from Fasulo said: ...I would also like to personally assure you that it is not our intent to mislead or hide pertinent information from anyone My direction is rather the opposite, full transparency and relationship building with our customers. I thank you for bringing these issues to my attention and will rectify them to your personal satisfaction.
...I have copied our executive in charge of S.onyStyle and will work directly with Dan to resolve this. You should expect a call from us very soon.
I am determined to regain your confidence in S.ony and to develop an ongoing joyful relationship.

I am back with S.ony and have purchased yet again another S.ony product.
To be able to share this kind of event is one of the good reasons for phatwalleters to exist as a community.
