Thanks OP. I have not been inside one for years. This would allow me to take a look and see what they are selling these days.

What good is a one day pass if you have to pay a service fee? I know back in the day you could shop and just pay a surcharge % without a card (I think they still do that?)

What is the difference in paying a surcharge and a service fee?

Mong said: I'm already a business member (when it was a promo of $35 with an instant $25 giftcard). If you guys wait, this (or similar) deal will come around again. If you are unhappy with your membership, you may cancel it within a year for a full refund, no (some) questions asked. The $25 giftcard is yours to keep.
Similar promotions/terms at Costco as well. Not familiar with BJs (the store, I mean).

Yes they do. Anyone can go in anytime and ask for a free one day pass. Why this keeps getting posted as some sort of deal is beyond me.
$40 for a year's entrance to Sam's is the best deal imaginable. You save more than that on each and every visit. It's really a know brainer for serious FW-types who can do the math.

WTF how is this hot? With 10% fee there goes your savings and you might even pay more for some items then they normally would be elsewhere. If you spend at least $300 there, then you should just pay some more for a pass.
A real FW'er would already have a membership, or a hardcore FW'er would just buy a membership, purchase everything and then return the membership under the 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Because obviously this is not common knowledge.
Actually that is not true I went to the sams club in Buffalo NY on October 31st and asked for a one day pass and they said they do not have one and there was no way I could go in.
