Endangered Species Chocolate offers its Endangered Species Chocolate Premium Organic 1.4-oz. Chocolate Bars in five flavors (Organic Dark Chocolate with Blueberries pictured) for 49 cents each. Shipping adds $6.95 for up to 50 of these chocolate bars, so it's best to buy in bulk. That's $24.50 for 50 bars. These bars feature organic, ethically-traded, shade-grown chocolate.

- Why is it trying to log in to Account ID: 235412?
- As Emily Litella would ask: "Why would anyone care about Endangered Feces?"

It was a copy-paste error. I copied the deal as it is from the mail I received.

Good deal on the chocolates. These are normally 3x as much in the store. Thanks OP!

Actually, shipping kills the deal for me. It is $6.95 to ship to California:

Shipping And Tax Estimate
Shipping: (Standard Ground (3-6 business days)) $6.95
Tax: $0.00

That's why the OP suggested buying in bulk to keep the per item cost down (there is a flat rate shipping cost of $6.95 for up to 50 bars).

Great find! Thanks. These are excellent chocolate for those who appreciate excellent chocolate. Also some of the procedes go to a good cause, also they are an ethical company, ecologically friendly grown bean, fair wages to foreign workers, etc.

Usually way out of my price range. At half a buck I bought a bunch!

any promo's or coupon codes anyone knows?

Use coupon COOP15 for 15% discount

I ordered 40 for $23.61 shipped using the coupon mentioned above.

Nice find

Edit: These are the smaller 1.4 oz bars. The 3 oz bars are sold at Walgreens for $2.99 each.

I need to clean my glasses, I thought that said ethnically-traded

Red for a misleading title, I thought these were chocolate bars made out of Endangered Species.

They also have Organic Milk Chocolate with Peanut Butter for the same price for those that do not like dark chocolate.

Thanks OP...in for 40 = $23.61 with Code COOP15

Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's all organic and stuff, but how does it taste?

I remember when this was a local company down the street. Original owner was pushed out and then they moved productin out of state to IN. Unfortunate, at least the price is good.

OMG! That's what I thought too!

I was asking myselft 'what the hell is ethnically-traded'?

Lets hope they don't taste as cheap as their price. Otherwise, that's 50 bars down the drain.

We actually buy these from our local grocery store, and they are very very good, thanks OP!

Suckered into buying 50.

This girl couldn't resist at $.56 per single-serving bar...

Excellent deal. Thanks OP my wife loves the chocolate and blueberry ones!

I second that. I usually buy the 3oz bars when they are on sale at Kroger. They are very delicious. I usually stick to the dark chocolate for the extra antioxidants and to reduce the sugar content.

Thanks OP! Great price for 70% chocolate

Looks like shipping is calculated in 60-bar increments: $6.95 for the first 60 bars, $3 more for the next 60, etc.
Maximizing the shipping spread, the best value would be 60 bars, 120 - even better (if you can eat that many)

can't say "No" to chocolate... Bought 40. I may give them away around Halloween/Christmas

Nice! Going to set a few aside for stockings... much better than cheapo santa-shaped chocolate.

Could not resist! Great for holiday gifts for the office. Thanks OP!

The ones in the store are larger and thus more expensive. These are only an ounce and a half. TINY. Still "cheap" for the size, however.

Jumped on 50. Thanks OP.

Couldn't resist - in for 50. Thanks OP!

damn u fw; more $$ being spent; tks op

I seriously just bought 300 bars to fuel my friends' addictions and also for holiday gifts - came out to 141.90 shipped for all of them after the coupon (props aliasgar)... as per their website, "10% of net profits go to endangered species bla bla... makes me wonder if they are making any money on bars for 49 cents.

Holy Moly!! I found it tough to justify buying 40 bars. 300!!!

I'm gonna save your post in case my wife gives me a hard time for buying 40.

Hope these babies arrive intact and unmelted.

That's excellent. Chocolate is good for you.

Anyone know the retail price on these?

actiontec23 said: damn u fw; more $$ being spent; tks op hey, don't blame FW. It's really the retailer you should curse at. FW is just an enabler

TY you just helped me decide our youth groups next fundraiser. After you get them will you post what you would be willing to pay for one. I was thinking $2 maybe?

Gee, looks like they're pretty slow to ship out. I ordered on 10/27/2009 2:22:41 AM and it still hasn't shipped. Two whole days...nothing. I'm hungry for chocolate!! Once I eat all these chocy bars, I'll probably be even more impatient.

Anyone else get a little cranky/snippy after eating a few chocy bars??

Just FYI for those buying these for the antioxidant properties.
The recommended daily amount is 7 grams of a 70% dark chocolate.
At 1.4 ozs, these bars come up just short of 40 grams.
Therefore, each bar would be just short of a 6 day supply.

Thanks. Unfortunately the coupon codes no longer work, but still a good deal.
