Anyone know if there is a break in tax/shipping for MD, PA, NJ, or NY?
Thanks!

Edit: Showing up as free standard shipping, as well as free 2-day shipping for NJ

Thanks. Good deal.

Tax in NY, free 2nd day shipping - comes to $70.54

in for 1, $71.11 shipped to CA. Thanks.

Missed same deal but with 5% BCB.

BCB won't working on this deal because of coupon used.

Thanks!

$69.33 total w/ 2 day free shipping to NJ!

Thanks op... In for 1 to San Diego for 70 shipped.

Better deal than the $69.99 b4 tax deal back on September 18th.

why would you say that?

It's now shown as $109.99 - $38 = $71.99

Apparently you missed the "apply 10%coupon" part of the deal.

googling suggests warranty is 1 year only. I'd bite if 3 yr or more.

ParatoOptimal said: OP, this is not a 2.5" HD.

The one I bought from Dell that's sitting in front of me is 2.5".

Correct:

Limited Warranty
Americas 1 year
EMEA 2 years
APAC 3 years

Does it need "power supply" or it powers from the USB?

Nevermind, it says right in the description: "This 500 GB drive comes with a USB 2.0 interface which does not require any power adapter as it is powered directly through the USB cable."

ParatoOptimal said: OP, this is not a 2.5" HD.

It does not require any power adapter as it is powered directly through the USB cable.
This IS 2.5" portable HD.

Nice, almost as cheap as BF. Supposedly, $60 no rebates at OM on BF, but if you want it now, and/or you don't want to fight for it, this is a terrific deal!

Sweet. Got one. Thanks!

I'd pay 10% more any day to sit on my lazy butt @ home and order an item rather than dealing with BF hassles at a store... plus, you're fighting for what's left in stock.

Thanks for pointing that out, 1lossir.
I thought $64.79 is the price and coupon of 10% is the "additional" as OP stated.

This doesn't come with any backup software, correct? Any suggestions for free or inexpensive backup software?

Any Bing CashBack goes along with this?

pianoCM said: Any Bing CashBack goes along with this?

you can try, but the coupon will most likely invalidate it.

Bruzer said: This doesn't come with any backup software, correct? Any suggestions for free or inexpensive backup software?

Comes with a 30 day trial version of Memeo Backup. $19.95 to purchase.

thanks. bought 2.

I stand corrected.
GREAT FIND!

I don't see measurements on Dell's page. I found the measurements on Newegg's site.
The see complete review button works once and then locks out. I have to refresh to get it to work again.
The see all two reviews button wont show me the reviews. If the info is there then something's wrong on my end perhaps with java.
If the info is not there, they're crazy. The whole selling point is that it's 2.5". AND, as if that isn't enough, it doesn't require a power brick.

I thought 500GB was too much to push without a power brick.
Does anyone know what drive is inside?

This is damn sexy!

blizzardo said: can you extract the hd?

You mean to take it out of it's case and put it inside a laptop? I dont see why not. You got me thinking now

Thanks OP! In for one for around $70 including tax + 2 day free shipping

anyone know if this would work on a ps2?

hey everyone, I attached the spec pdf to the OP.

Thanks OP!!!

I'm going to swap out my 160GB hard drive in my MacBook Pro for this one (and then put the 160GB drive into this). Should work perfectly!

Great find OP

Also,

You can upgrade to the 2 Day Business Express shipping for free!

Is this IDE or SATA inside?

Is the coupon dead? When I tried it, it says it's limited to certain items and doesn't apply to my order:

"Coupons Entered
The following coupons have been entered but require additional information or do not meet eligibility requirements. Click "View Details" link(s) for more information.

Save an Add. 10% on Select Phones, GPS, Networking, Memory & Flat Panels"

Are there other eligible coupons that can be used instead?
