Youtube it and you can hear the sound for yourself. link The machine is very durable (yes, I slammed that thing down many time on carpet and the alarm still goes off-- happens when i cant find the helicopter). You can not disable the battery compartment because of a screw.
Our room is pitch black in the mornings lately, and I'd have to turn on lights to find that helicopter, which would cause my wife to throw objects at ME. Great idea otherwise.
