Expedia: Save $10 a Night on Your Next Hotel Stay:
Book by January 31, 2010; Travel by February 28, 2010 Choose a stay of 2 or more nights at any Expedia Special Rate hotel During checkout, click "I have a coupon" Enter coupon code "09NOV10"
I even tried with expensive hotels. No go. On the right-hand-side, on top of the prices, there either is or isn't a notation "Expedia Special Rate". Tried those too. Same result. Code is mentioned on their homepage. Depending on how new this promotion is, they might not have updated their system completely.

As mentioned in another thread, 10OCT also works to take $10 off per night.
In any case, the Orbitz coupon for $40/3 nights is a better value if you are staying 3 nights, and same-value for 4 nights. Of course, you can't use it for 2 nights.
Terms and Conditions This offer is from Expedia.com and is available for Expedia.com U.S. members only. This single-use coupon is valid only for a discount of $10 per night towards the new booking on Expedia.com of a room at an Expedia® Special Rate hotel for two (2) nights or longer. The cost per night of the booking must be at least $75 before taxes and fees. Coupon must be used by 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on January 31, 2010. Travel must be completed by February 28, 2010.
When you are ready to redeem your coupon, select the "I have a coupon" radio button and enter the coupon code "09NOV10" in the "I have a coupon" field on the Rate Details page of your hotel booking. The discount will be subtracted from the total price of the transaction at the time of booking.
