the price seems coming down slowly... i doubt it would ever return to early 08 level though.

Just bought some. New to 9MM. went to Gander Mountain and bought steel jacketed FM generic 250 rds 115grn for around $83+ (tax included) ~ 33 cents a round. I just 500 rnds for $130 of the above deal -> 26 cents a round.
I went to one WalMart and they were out. A friend stated he usually can find Winchester 100 rnd 115 grn for around $21+. Best deal if you can find it.

WM usually has federal 9mm 50 rd for 9.97 (used to be 8.97 when it was replacing Blazer)
I just picked up 4 boxes of Winchester 9mm, 50 round, 115 grn FMJ at $11.37 per box at WalMart last Friday. They seemed to have plenty in stock but maybe I just got there on the right day.
Thanks butcherboy! My first pistol purchase was the S&W Sigma for $250.00 after $50.00 dollar rebate(A butcherboy post). I have been to 3 Walmarts around the Atlanta area and none have any ammo in stock. Only empty shelves. After talking to Aim surplus on the phone, they warn you that stock typically sells out fast. I just purchased a case for around $130.00 and some change. Thanks again, and the Sigma is a lot cooler than what the pics portray it. Green as always!

Thanks OP, keep up the search.
I might jump on this, maybe not. I don't know yet. Still feeling out the market.
