Just stick your name in there, it's what I've done for the last six years. Thanks, How do I check out using my DPA card? It doesn't show up in the options
I called Dell and they said this can run via USB power OR through the A/C? Do you guys think he was incorrect and this HAS to be powered via the A/C adaptor?
psu05 said: how do you get the bing Cash Back? not finding Dell on their list? It looks like the 5% Bing for Dell is only for Home and Office, not Small Business. Not sure how the OP got the extra 5%.
Does anyone know if you could take this drive out and use it as an internal drive? I'm trying to fill up my NAS and wondering if this is the best deal. From the specs you can't even tell if it's a SATA/IDE drive though. Better to wait until Black Friday?
Would have jumped right away if only it had eSATA interface. USB 2 "HI SPEED" of 480 Mbit/s is a scam. I don't know why manufacturers don't get regulated .. they should be really sued for false advertising. If you get more that 15 MBps you'll be fortunate (Still a torture in IMHO). eSATA atleast runs around 40-60 MBPS
"Shop at Dell.com Today and Earn 5% Bing CashBack Offer applies to online purchases from Dell Home & Home Office and Small & Medium Business online stores on this visit only. Purchases from Dell Outlet, Dell Public or Large Enterprise stores are NOT eligible for this offer. Dell reserves the right to end or change this offer at any time.View all Bing.com CashBack terms and conditions. Limited time offer."
Who do we trust? If Dell pays Bing, Bing refuses to pay me........Interesting.

Yes, it uses a SATA drive, but I wouldn't recommend this - you'd be voiding the warranty on the drive once you removed it from the case. And as was pointed out above, this drive uses cheaper components - better off with a "black" series drive, or "green" if seek times aren't a huge issue.

Apparently you don't understand how this works...I just gave you keywords on how to get the bing.com 5% CashBack link for Dell. You are not required to buy the type of item you searched for....
