Nice work. Where did you get this info?

Is it a Staples GC? What's the value of that? The camera's $79 + $50 = 129. If it's a full $50 instant money card ... What's the catch? Why can't I just buy one, and use the GC to buy a second, and return the first along with the gc from the second purchase?

I missed that Canon A1100 but I may jump on it this time...assuming there are any left in stock.

Green for OP!

been waiting to use rewards looks like I finally can!

I'm guessing middle initial "I"

Very nice, thanks for the heads-up. I have $75 in ink certs to use, and after coupon, the camera will be better than free, counting the $50 GC as cashmoney.

From the flyer. I updated the top post to include an image of some of the interesting sections.

Enjoy.

R.I.P.

What is R.I.P.?

"David Nobbs' energetic satire of modern life features the incomparable Leonard Rossiter as middle-aged, middle-class, middle-manager Reginald Iolanthe Perrin, who is disillusioned after a long career at Sunshine Desserts and longs for a life that is just out of reach. Despite his best (and most bizarre) efforts to break free from the insipid conformity that he sees all around him, he never quite succeeds. Perrin is surrounded by one of the finest and funniest ensembles in the history of British comedy - you'll find most of your friends, family and enemies represented here. As Reggie's fatuous boss (a character that anticipated the Dilbert comic strip by about 20 years) would put it, "I didn't get where I am today without appreciating one of the finest British sitcoms ever."

I think he is wondering how you have the ad so early

In case some of you are wondering, the show's name is "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin". Comes in a 4-DVD set. Usual price ~$60, on-sale at Target right now for only $37.49.

Reviews at imdb.

Maybe ReggiePerrin wants to start a new thread with the sale price. Nice deal in my opinion. Get a few more fans hooked...

In addition, there is a $20 loyalty rebate for this camera, provided you already have a qualifying canon model and you have registered that camera before October 12.
Details are here:
Rebate form

PS: added to QS also.

ShakuniMama,

What I meant was the previous canon camera (other than 1100) should have been purchased and registered before Oct 12. Once you qualify on that requirement, you can buy A1100 from Oct 12 to Dec 21 2009 and qualify for $20 rebate. If you don't own a prior Canon camera and even if you own you have not registered it (like me) then you do not qualify for the $20 rebate.

Oh wow.. that was funny. Two others had run the same topic and both got closed down and the ironic part was that one of the re-posters was scolding the other re-poster about doing a search first before they do a topic when he didn't even realize his own topic was a repost.
Gotta love it. LOL

Anyway, back on topic.. These will make great stocking stuffers, albeit slightly expensive, but people will think you spent twice as much(or thrice as much even).

my wife thrice's me every week anyway...

Interesting. I just bought a Canon A1100IS at BestBuy tonight for the full $149.99 price. (I know, I know. Not very FW-esque. But I had $175 in BB giftcards to spend.)

Hmm, I guess I could PM, no?

Best Buy PM is hit-and-miss, especially since this deal is based on a $50 gift card. You should be able to PM to the $129, but the $79 will be YMMV.

The mod closed http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/965202/ to direct it to this thread? The other one was much better written and actually had SD780 in the title. FW is losing it...

Yeah, I just could never understand the logic of Mods......sometime they will not lock an exact repost and sometimes they will let people have as many reposts. I don't argue as I have a life!

Thanks for the deal. Been looking for a camera and this fit the bill. I just bought the A1100 this week from Staples.com, since I had a $25 off $75 coupon expiring today. It's been a while since I've done a return/rebuy with a rebate involved. Can I do this on the phone with Staples.com or must I go to a B&M with product in hand?

Also, how does this camera compare to the SD780IS?

Thanks.

Search you emails "Canon USA" or "Thanks for Registering at Canon USA"

Does registering for a Rebate at Canon qualifies for this Rebate?

I'm still not getting OP's math on the A1100....

If the price of the camera is $149.99 - $50 GC = $99.99.

But OP says its $79 after GC....so are you supposed to use your $20 Canon loyalty rebate (which you DON'T get if you didn't register before 10/12)?

The original price on the camera is $149.99. It's on sale for $129.99. It still qualifies for the $50 gift card.

the Staples basic shredder is listed online as "low stock clearance item" when you search for store availability. what do you guys think about the inventory they actually have on these at Staples?

I didn't see the camera on sale in that flyer or online for $129.99. So does it go on sale tomorrow? Sorry for the questions, I want to get this for my dad.

Will using a coupon on the camera negate the $50 Visa?

No, you'll be fine

Ahhh...thanks for the clarification. Gonna try to snag one tomorrow.

Does the $40 instant savings work online? I see:
-
Now: $239.99
Instant Savings: -$40.00
Price after savings: $199.99

However when I add to cart it's still 239.99$, I checked out and it's still $209 ($30 of 150). Is there something I'm missing?

So everyone should try it.Anyone sent this rebate without buying old camera? We would need to write old camera serial number on the rebate form.Don't you think this is wrong? The rebate is meant for past Canon owners. If you aren't one, you do not qualify.
