this mag is basically junk mail. more adds than anything else, and the content is weak. I couldn't wait for my cheapo subscription to end. Sometimes I'd take it from the mailbox and drop it right in the garbage can on my way into the house.
I jumped on a similar deal to this for the insider access on espn.com. From my experience, after a year, they will start charging you for the insider access at full price even if you still have years left on your subscription. It is easy to call and cancel that, and then when your next magazine comes, you have to activate the insider again using the code on the magazine. So be warned!

Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but I didn't notice anything that advised me on the insider access..

The Insider membership is available for free with the magazine subscription, but you have to sign up at the ESPN web site:
ESPN The Magazine Subscriber: Activate Your Insider Account
As a valuable ESPN The Magazine subscriber, you also have access to ESPN Insider, the most predictive sports analysis and insight on the web, at NO EXTRA CHARGE.

Thanks - perfect for ESPN Insider, which is where all of the good stories reside. Agree that the Mag isn't great though.
I think they make money through the Insider activation. You have to leave a credit card number and they automatically charge to renew unless subscriber cancels. My guess is they bank on most people forget to cancel and don't pay attention to their credit card bill.

This SI deal is auto renewal... Beware.
Use a debit cash card or if you use a CC and get charged you call the 800 number on your statement and an automated system processes your refund and a full credit shows up on your card. Takes 5 minutes and very easy to do.

4 years $3.55 Bing Cash Back $5.30. Don't think it will go through, but if it does great. If not great price anyway. Thanks OP.
Thanks. The insider access is the real deal for me. I shared this with my fantasy football buddies, but in hindsight, I should have kept this to myself lol.

Thanks OP, good deal. I had 11 months left on my subscription and was looking for a good renewal rate. Went for a 4 year renewal. Its worth it for the Insider access. I never read the magazine itself.
