Between now and 11/7

Buy $75 worth of Sears GIFTCARDS with your club card at safeway chain stores, get a $10 off your next order Catalina coupon to use at safeway/Genuardi's, etc. (Sears GC's can be used in store or online at Sears/Kmart/lands end)

CONFIRMED IN THE Genuardi's CIRCULAR IN PA. (FW'ers in other areas should call your local safeway chain or check your ads for this offer. On back page at bottom of Genuardi's ad)

THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THIS OFFER, but it is LIMIT ONE PER TRANSACTION.

So if you need $300 in Sears Gift Cards, split into 4 orders and get $40 in Free Grocery coupons!

If stores only carry $50 or $25 Sears GC's you'll need to get 1 $50/ 1 $25 or 3 $25's in one transaction.

Happy shopping and eating!

PS--

poster on SD claims these OYNO COUPONS can be rolled on your next Gift Card purchase.

so if true,

buy $75 Sears GC, get $10 back OYNO

Get another $75, use $10 towards payment, get another $10 OYNO.

with this scenario, you can pay $400 for $450 in Sears GC's.

VERY STRONG YMMV ON THIS UNTIL CONFIRMED OTHERWISE

So if I want to buy a new tv at Sears for $1500 I could buy 20 $75 gift cards and save $200 on grocerys? Now to tell the wife we need some food. And a bigger TV.

From landsend.com FAQ:

Can I redeem a Sears® or K-mart® Gift Card at Lands' End?
Yes! Sears® and K-mart® Gift Cards can be redeemed at LandsEnd.com, by phone, or in Lands' End® retail stores. You'll need your 16-digit Gift Card number and 8-digit PIN. (Sorry. We cannot accept Sears® or Kmart® Gift Cards that do not have the 8 digit PIN or Kmart® cards that have a 19-digit account number.)

Whee! Thanks, OP.

Just back!

They carry Sears in $25/50/100 denominations only. So you will need to buy 1 $25/1 $50 to hit exactly $75.

The $10 Coupon prints out AS PROMISED with your club card.

AND YES, confirmed by Mr C! IT DOES ROLL ON THE NEXT SET OF $75 PURCHASE, SO ONLY $65 OOP on the 2nd set and after IF YOU DON'T WISH TO BUY GROCERIES!

Then go to Sears and convert your gift cards into a Christmas Club Card and get an extra 3% added to it. Here are the details.

I haven't tried using a gift card to fund the Christmas Club Card, but I asked a clerk and they said that you could.

In Maryland, it's the same as CA: buy any two Applebee's gift cards in the same transaction and get $5 off your next grocery purchase.

Vons, which is the safeway of Southern CA, is doing the Applebee's promotion as well.

EDIT: Actually, just found another ad. They have the Sears promotion as well. Both are running simultaneously from 10/11 to 11/7

I bought 22 $25 & $50 gift cards yesterday at Vons. The $10 grocery coupon says only 1 can be used per transaction per day. I wonder if I can use more than one a day or if they keep track of how many you use by your clubcard, if so I'm screwed because I have 22 of them and they expire in like 10 days.

When I went to use the gift cards at Sears to buy my TV it wouldnt let the guy put more then 15 in the system so I had to consolidate my gift cards by buying gift cards. All together I spent about 3 hours to save $220. Not bad. I'll be spending more time trying to use them since you cant use more than one at a time. I'll try using 2 tonight in seperate transactions and let everyone know how it goes.

See if you can buy a Vons GiftCard with the coupons. The usual knee-jerk reaction is for them to say no. I am usually able to sweet-talk the manager into accepting my point of view that the money will still be spent at their store, so what's the harm? Besides, if you have $220 worth of (or any other large amount) certificates, impress upon them that it obviously means you are one of their better customers. Chances are, they will agree.
Good luck!

I wouldn't be concerned. One per transaction multiple times per day should not be an issue. As noted earlier in the thread, the easiest way to avoid this problem is to just roll them into your next Gift Card purchase and pay $65 for $75 of Gift Cards. That way you're not walking around with $220 of coupons...lol.

Yeah I tried to use a coupon to buy a gift card but the cashier asked the manger and he told him I couldnt because it says on the coupon (good on your next grocery purchase). I guess to them grocery means food.
