thanks that was very comprehensive lol. I stopped by that OTHER deal site, you know the not as good one, and they had like 75+ comments about this product and said it was barely above laptop speakers so I am going to pass since I just bought the ge usb powered speaker set from target for 5 bucks (not as elegant but work

If fits a niche. I have one of these I want to use it with. It might also be convenient for your mp3 player in certain instances. $40?, no.. but $9 it was a steal.. hope it wasn't a price mistake.
