First Real post here goes.

Just got a reward zone mailing for %50 off the Samsung Steam washer and dryer pair. I think it's a decent deal but there are not any reviews yet as they are new. Sale is from 11\6 to 11\14. They are currently both on sale this week, but coupon says off of the retail price only. Coupon also says in store only no bestbuy.com pickups

Samsung - 4.0 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Front-Load Steam Washer - White WF407ANW/XAA (1199.99)
Samsung - 7.3 Cu. Ft. 11-Cycle Electric Steam Dryer - White DV407AEW/XAA (1199.99)

Total for me would be $1326.99 with tax and possible free delivery.

This would be our first washer/dryer purchase so I'm not sure what else is required to purchase

Not sure if this is price matchable at another store, as this model seems BB specific
(I would much rather have a gas dryer)

Work your magic FW'ers

Good deal?

B&M only

Do I need a coupon for this? How do I get one?

I received it in a Reward Zone mailing. You most likely have to be a member. I do not see these coupons on the reward zone site.

I'd love to get in on this. Any idea how? Just signed up for Rewards today.

That's a pretty smoking price. The steam washer/dryers are a lot more $$.

If anyone has a coupon they are not using I would be greatly appreciative if you could PM it to me. I've been waiting for a deal on these for around 1 year. I am a reward zone member, but I never got the coupon. Thanks.

I'm a reward member too, but don't get any kind of mailing/coupons. Is there any other way to take advantage of the opportunity? I need a laundry setup desperately w/ winter approaching.

FYI per samsung's website this washer does not have steam care. I'm not sure why it's listed on the bestbuy website.

I would also love to get a coupon if someone isn't using theirs. Please pm me.

Its the 407 not the 409, which i can't find on the site

Just went to the store and ordered the washer and dryer. The coupon worked even though it says not good until the 6th. I wanted to order it early to avoid the rush.

Hi Guys,

Just to clarify this mailing was for Reward Zone Premier Silver members, which means you had to have spent $2500 in the last year. I was lucky because I recently got married and spent that much on a fridge, stove, guitar, and Christmas gifts.

Checked Consumer Reports and all the Samsung washers rank high (75 and above) so I think this is a great deal.

That would be interesting since the coupon clearly states it must be IN STOCK so you could not have "ordered it" in fact the coupon clearly states it IS NOT valid for ORDERS or online "store pickup". These are not going to be "in stock" until 11/06 when the coupon is valid. Nice try though....

That it would be impossible for him to "Order" the OPs deal and use the coupon, because it is not just the DATE on the coupon that restricts its use. I have the coupon and you cannot "order" them or use them online for in store pick up. The washer/dryer coupon is strictly for IN STOCK product that is ACTUALLY IN THE STORE. You cannot "order" them and use the coupon.

You definitely can't use the coupon online at bestbuy.com but you can go to the store and order it even if your store doesn't carry the washer/dryer in that store. BestBuy keeps their appliances in some regional warehouse and delivers them from there. I think it could be possible that the coupon is in effect already even though it says valid only from 11/6 to 11/14. They would just ring up the SKUs of the washer/dryer then scan the UPC code on the coupon and the computer would just apply the 50% discount.

Actually that is also against the coupon. It says merchandise must be in stock and is not valid for orders. Plus the coupon will not scan right now. What do you think the chances of a BB manager basically violating every restriction the coupon has to let someone "avoid the rush? 1.Date...no good needs to be manually given a 50% discount because the coupon isn't valid yet. 2. Merchandise has to be "ordered" as they are not in the Stores yet even though the coupon explicitly states it must be IN STORE and IN STOCK.

That is not going to happen. I know the washers and dryers are just sitting in the where house/distribution centers...but my point is the guy with one post showing up saying he got the deal 3 days early is full of ****. He obviously doesn't even have the coupon or he would have known about the other restrictions.

Well I'll be heading to BestBuy tonight to try to check out their washer/dryers and see if this coupon is indeed valid. I'll let you guys know.

Unless you actually tried to use the coupon, how can you be so sure it won't work now ? It's also possible a manager did an override on the order, which is quite common in my local store. They want the sale.

Well color me suspicious when someone has ONE post and says they got a deal 3 days early...especially one where they mention just the date being the only thing that he mentions when it actually violates numerous other restrictions of the coupon (basically EVERY restriction the coupon has).

If LongN gets the deal I will eat crow and request he post a scan of the receipt because I am going down and grabbing a pair then tomorrow.

I will add it is very different between over ridding a regular coupon and a 50% off $1300 coupon, I doubt you will find a manager to do that. Considering that these are BB specific models and 50% off is far and away the only big deal in these coupons it would be pretty safe to say Samsung is probably kicking in something on this deal as a promo.

Hi,

I got the coupon in the mail, and went to the store today....they do not have any in stock right now....they just got the model to put out on the floor today. I told the girl that I will be there first thing Friday morning and she said that even if they dont have any in store, as long as they are in stock in the wharehouse then the coupon will be valid.

Thanks! That was the only thing I was worried about. Thanks for the info!

Hi Guys,

Just got back from Best Buy with my Samsung washer and dryer purchased with the 50% coupon. It worked in advance just by scanning it. No manager or override required. Also, I didn't notice until the associate was ringing it up but he input the SKU for the gas dryer and the coupon worked on that too. I got the pair with the 3-yr warranty for about $1500 after tax.

The associates were shocked that the coupon was giving 50% off since they are apparently they can't get them at lower than regular price. Great deal.

I'll keep checking my mail for this deal, but I haven't seen anything. I did receive a mailing a couple weeks back with a pack of coupons but nothing like this. One note that this washer IS Energy Star qualified so check any local rebate offers from your state government.

Does the dryer have an interior light? I didn't see it on the specifications, which would surprise me. We used to have one but don't know, and I miss it.

For those who cannot get this deal, keep in mind that Sears will have a Samsung front loader pair on Black Friday for $999 total. The washer is the WF219ANW, and the dryer is the DV219AEW (4.0 cu ft washer and 7.3 cu ft dryer). It isn't a steam washer, but the reviews are excellent at Sears and Best Buy. Not trying to thread crap -- just seems like some people looking for washers and dryers so I thought I'd mention it.

Anyone purchasing this should use the $130 giftcard coupon in the same coupon book since the purchase is over $1000.

Got back from the store a little earlier, They had some in stock, she said they had 36 units and 5 people were already in today trying to purchase early. looks like im sending the lady in to pick them up friday morning.

If I am correct, the last digit of the model number (7 here) usually refers to the year the model is designed.

If there is anyone in the Atlanta area with this coupon or membership please let me know. z06steve@comcast. Will pay for your time

Then 100% apologies to ironmanaz....and biggerfool (still no need to call me names though...)

I will be taking the screen shot to my BB then and having a talk with the manager I spoke to....(thank you LongN for the screen shot)

I WAS WRONG!!! APOLOGIES!

Thanks OP for first reporting the deal. Thanks ironmanaz for the tip about early use of the coupon.

I went to my BestBuy and asked about the washer/dryer. They did not have any display models on the floor but showed like 300 or something in the warehouse. I went through the OMS process to print out the order and then they retrieve the OMS order at the cash register. Without the 50% coupon, I would've received a 10% discount by buying two major appliances (this weeks promotion) so I was hoping it would stack with the 50% but it didn't. The 50% discount negates the 10% discount so my order total was 1229.99 with delivery. I was worried that I wouldn't get my Oregon tax exemption because I was delivering it to my house in Seattle but all the coupon and tax exemption stuff is done at the cash register like a normal transaction so it was hassle free.

My tip for people to get this deal tomorrow would be to play it cool and don't mention the coupon until the very end when they ring it up on the register. Go ahead and make the OMS order like if you were paying full price and at the very end when they ring up all the SKU's on the cash register, bust out the coupon and they'll scan the UPC code from it and you should receive the 50% discount once they total the order.

Since when you order an appliance, it has to be processed through OMS so technically you could make an OMS order in a state that has no sales tax (Delaware, Oregon, Alaska, Monanta?) and have it delivered to whichever state and not have to pay sales tax.

Remember to look for energy efficient rebates from your local utility company. This washer qualified for a $100 rebate for me making my price 1129.99 delivered after tax.

I am going to go to the best buy with the coupon today and try to make the purchase....Ill let you guys know how I make out!

Sure wish I had the coupon, looking for a new washer/dryer, guess I'll settle for the Samsungs from Sears on BF.

If anyone in RI or nearby Mass has this coupon I will buy this off of you. You can have the points. We have been looking for a steam W/D for our house.

Please send me a PM...
thanks.

I'm in Minneapolis seeking help with this offer. Can anyone confirm whether I'll need a member with me to use their membership card, or will I be okay with just the coupon? I did sign up last night for a membership for myself if that will help, but obviously I'm not a Silver member. Please advise!

Anybody have this coupon to give away??? My family needs new W/D desperately...
email me please, if you do: catharsis921@yahoo.com

I am kind of lost. Are you saying we can pre-order even BB stores do not have it in stock and use the coupon? or we can only order when they have it in stock? Please clarify. Thanks.

Skipping 203 Messages...

Unfun update: I got in on the 407 Washer & Dryer deal in early November and I set up delivery for Dec 29th. I called the delivery number to reconfirm and was quite shocked to have them tell me my order was cancelled due to Product Damage. Called my local Best Buy and asked what was going on. They associate said that they're out of stock on that model set and that Samsung couldn't deliver more of them - so that was why it was cancelled. They certainly didn't bother to let me know or credit my credit card! They offered up a substitute Samsung model (419). It seemed comparable, so I accepted only to have them tell me it was out of stock too. They offered up some non-Samsung models, but I already bought and received Samsung pedestals (not from BB). So, I asked to received the 448 set instead. Still waiting to hear back.

So, if any of you had a lengthy delivery date on this set, you might want to check to make sure it's still going to show up. I'm in the Wash DC area if that matters for availability.
