I thought this was supposed to be part of the sale this saturday with the xbox for $199 - $100GC. It was in that scan of the screen that was posted. Hmm and I was waiting until staurday to pull the trigger on this, damn.
popped up as in stock for a second.. went to get the bing link and it was gone - currently waiting on the $630 720p plasma so im not sure why im buying this..
I found a couple in store, but their prices were way higher than on line.

Talked to a guy here that seemed to know what he was talking about. He said 698 price started on Saturday (which is what I thought given the xbox thread).
They currently didn't have any and didn't know if they would get any for the saturday sale, so it may be a decent idea to buy/rebuy if you find one.
If WalMart lists it for the Saturday sale, they will make sure there are some minimum number of TVs in each store. They would otherwise rile a ton of folk waiting for it. It is one thing to say they sold out, it is another to say there weren't any to the first customer. I had heard these may be available Saturday, but it does not say it on WalMart's website. Instead they list a Panasonic plasma and smaller Sharp.
Note too, I noticed that a ton of stores pull these items from the shelf the week before the sale so people don't pre-buy. WalMart may have tons at the stores I called, but the stores themselves are saying there is no stock even though the website says there are.

I bought one today! (11/04/09) I went in to the store and talked to the manager. I showed him that it was online at $698, and that it wasn't in the Saturday sale advertisement. I mentioned that the rumors were that it was going to be on sale on Saturday at that price, even though it wasn't advertised. The manager confirmed that, and even though they don't have to honor online prices, he let me buy it at the $698 price! Try it at your local store and you won't have to wait in line on Saturday.
I got the 46" Sharp TV deal from WalMart before black Friday. However, I have a problem to active it. Every time I turned on it, only one green light is on at the bottom of the panel. Nothing else happens even I tried many buttons on the remote control.
Until now, my solution is to unplug the TV, wait for about half minutes, then plug in, now the TV will start to work normally. I am not sure whether the TV is in "sleeping" mode or else. Can any one give me a hand?
