Um... did you read the original post? The part where it says, "Make sure to choose Amazon on the right to see this price..."?

Or you can click this link and Amazon will be in the middle of the page, not some other seller. You can get this link by adding the item to your cart (Amazon's price), then view the cart, then click the item link.

Awesome tv! I just purchased yesterday through Frys for $1,115 plus tax. Did in store pickup. The box is HUGE compared to Samsung's 52" LCD. More than double the width

This is a great price too at Amazon! Especially if you don't have a Frys or have to pay sales tax when ordering with Amazon

Usually ships in 1-2 MONTHS?!?!

Yeah, that shipping estimate is VERY vague and probably not quite right.

Unfortunately so is this statement...

Seems like a very interesting deal though, is this a quality lcd?

Can you tell me the actual width of the TV, please? Thanks.

52.7" according to LG's site

Edit: It fascinates me that someone gave me Red for answering a question.

Just bought one.
Shipping Estimate: November 24, 2009 - December 18, 2009

So the 1 to 2 months is probably just rough estimate.

Can't wait.

1 to 2 months is ridiculous. i'm sure this TV will be exactly that price by black friday. just early sale for them i guess.

I would guess that it's a long delay so they can book a lot of orders for a lower qty price.

Anyone has experience with Amazon shipping damage problem ?

Thank you so much.

I bought one a month ago on the Sears bing friends and family deal. I just measured and it's exactly 53" wide!

just call and they will ship you a new one/pick up old

So how's the picture? Is the sound good enough that you don't need a receiver? Please share...

Thank you so much for the info. It's going to fit very tightly in the corner of my family room.

I'm VERY close to pulling the trigger on this TV. I have $200 in Amazon dollars plus I can get 12 mo. no payment.

This is a VERY good quality TV for the price... The only thing I don't like is the 30-60 days BS...

I'm lost...

Don't look at me... I don't understand it either.

Amazon price is now $2199.95!

You are right!

"Please note that the price of LG 55LH40 55-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Gloss Black has increased from $1,198.94 to $2,199.95 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages. "

I'm wondering if it was a price mistake...

Good and bad. Good because now I don't have to buy the TV,
Ba because I was ready to pull the cord.

Dead, Amazon raised their price to $2,199.95, free shipping, 1 to 2 months delivery...

Should I get it, wait a bit, yada yada... deal is gone. I was going to do the 12 months financing and it was a nice round number of $100/mo for 1 year... hope to see it at this price sometime in the near future.
