OP, I just had to say thank for the way that you posted the pages! I always look out for the thread announcing the latest Costco coupon book and this the first post I've seen where not only is every single page posted, but each page is as clear and and as large as looking at the coupon book itself, and does not require me to download anything, open up another software program, or go to a site that makes me wait for down loads. What method did you use to post these jpg images? Wish everyone would do them that way. Thanks again.

Costco will not accept printed coupons. Although policies vary by store location, you can try asking for a coupon book at the membership counter (I'd wait until 11/12), and at some stores the cashiers will scan the coupon bar code that they keep behind the register without even asking if you have a coupon book (if they don't, you could ask them to scan it for you and they might. Another option is to ask any member you see with a coupon book if you can have one of the coupons that they are not using (all of the barcodes on all of the coupons in the same book are the same). I had this happen to me for the first time about a week ago: they didn't have the item I went there for and I was leaving the store when someone asked me if I was using the coupon for the item in her hand. FW flashed through my mind and I contemplated going through the identical bar code spiel, but instead I just gave her a huge smile, said "I'm not buying anything today and I was hoping someone would ask me that," and handed her the whole coupon book. If all that you want are the tire discounts, I think that from reports here, the tire centers in all stores pretty much give you the coupon discount without ever asking for the coupons. HTH.

ETA: forgot to mention that I usually get my book a few days before the sale starts, but last time it didn't arrive until a few days after and a bunch of folks on FW also complained of the same thing. Someone called and was told by a CSR that they were having problems with mail delivery for their coupon books. Hopefully the issue has been resolved.

But like others have mentioned, usually the products go up in price before coupon week. So how much you save is debatable. Although the $4.99/chicken is the old mans favorite item there! = )

Ohh yeah, make sure you doublecheck your receipt before leaving. 2 out of my last 4 trips, the cashiers scanned a product twice.
Honest mistake? I guess...but it's a hassle to THEN get into ANOTHER line to get my refund. R^t@rds.

can anyone explain why a membership warehouse doesn't *automatically* deduct coupons from the price of merchandise regardless of whether you have your book or ask nicely? seems hypocritical and dually ironic really considering many discount retailers just give 'low prices' w/o requiring a coupon, and w/o charging you $50 when you go in, and dutifully checking your cart on the way out because they're too cheap to give bags - but oh yes, that's because of the *savings* which btw, you need a coupone to redeem. Nevermind you're taking their recyclable cardboard boxes off their hands, which mostly end up in a landfill (I know mine do!).

I noticed it in-store last week. I'll have to take my ipod in with me and test it out.

IMHO: Costco offers STEEP discounts on most of their products which do not require coupons (yes, some things can be found cheaper elsewhere, especially with sales, clearance, etc.). Those are their every day savings and savvy shoppers know what to buy where so that the membership fee is recouped many times over (oh, and we know how to save on the membership fee too). However, as an additional service to it's members, Costco further negotiates with manufacturers to offer these coupons, and goes a step further to organize these coupons into booklets with all coupons having the same start and end date. Correct me if I'm wrong but no other wherehouse club offers this. The coupons in these booklets are manufacturer coupons, NOT Costco coupons. The discounts are not automatically deducted per manufacturer preference. Furthermore, Costco DOES get some manufacturers to offer instant discounts that are automatic without a coupon (signs are posted throughout the store), e.g., those recurring $10 eneloop battery discounts, and which have expiration dates that are independent of the coupon books. You may as well ask why grocery store coupons are not automatically deducted without having to clip coupons and hand them over to a cashier, and why they all have different expiration dates. I think that you are looking a gift horse in the mouth rather than appreciating an exceptional service that Costco is providing. Again, that's just IMHO and if you don't shop there that just leaves more goodies for the rest of us so no hard feelings here. BTW, I recycle my cardboard boxes by taking them and my other recyclables to to the county facility since there is no local pick up in my area, but maybe that's just me. I do find it ironic though that you would complain about Costco not recycling their, in your word, "recyclable" cardboard boxes (which are more practical for holding and transporting large/heavy bulk items btw) when you also chose not to recycle them, and then in the same breath complain that they don't provide plastic bags which are much more environmentally toxic to produce and dispose of. Just my observations

Yeah, kinda strange. One day a cashier says you need to give only one coupon to get all the discounts. And then a few weeks later, the cashiers want all the item coupons from the book. Com'on, it's all in Costco's computer, they know what you bought. They should just make you fork over one coupon for the whole checkout process. It's faster too.

I'm not a Costco member. Unfortunately, the Costcos aren't very close to me. I am interested in buying the bedroom set in this ad. If I get a membership to get the bedroom set, would there be a coupon needed for an online only item??? It seems the price would be automatically adjusted or is there something I don't know? Thanks!

Yes you are absolutely right if you are talking just the price of tires.
But if you ever want to rotate or balance every 6000miles i would say the total cost becomes much higher. Costco includes lifetime tire rotation and balance. This alone i think will pay for itself.

Then it's a good deal for people that can't figure out how to rotate their own tires.

Using the www.TireRack.com price, do a pricematch with a national vendor that also offers free rotations, flat repairs, and balancing! You may even be able to get $70 mail in rebate from the other national retailers as well.

Just look at the back of the coupon page. If all the bar code numbers are the same, just use one coupon for something you have and the register will deduct the coupon price from all eligible items. You can stretch the coupon book a few weeks that way.

Regarding the tires, I disagree. Just checked TireRack for oem tires for my honda and they are 109 at TR and 105 at Costco, base price, no extras, before coupon.

Check with the store but I beleive all you have to do is bring in the receipt and ask to apply the coupon.
