In for one - (I got the email). Note that component out will output 720p and 1080i unless the disk prevents it. I only have component in on the TV I want to use it on, so this is good. I guess in a year or two they are going to force component output to 480i (or something like that), but for now...

Yes, recertified just means that it was either used or did not originally pass certification, so they fixed it and recertified. Many times recertified items go through a stricter quality control then new items.
