Garmin nüvi 255W GPS. Did you know you can save $100, only on Black Friday? Just make a U-turn, go left and then beeline for Staples! Valid Friday 11/27. 6am-10am. US only.

Com'on, gotta do better than that.
I predict a quad-core 3.5 GHz processor, 2 TB hard drive, 32 GB of RAM, 3-day battery, and gaming-quality graphics, all for $300.
If you are the type of person to buy a $300 laptop, you are not going to be picky about the components in it.1.5 TB drive and 16 GB RAM, the rest was correct.
It's really predictable. the lappie must be $350 at non-BF on-sale. while, as well-known, at $350, Staples could offer
* Intel® Pentium® Processor T4300 * 3GB memory * 250GB hard drive * 8X DVD R/RW with Double Layer Support * 15.6" Diagonal High Definition HP BrightView Display * 802.11b/g WLAN * Possible webcam. * 6.5 lbs * Microsoft Windows 7 Home® Premium * 1 year warranty

90-25 = $65 would have been sooooooooooooooo sweet Sounds like you should have waited a couple weeks. $89.98 OTD confirmed with the newly-leaked ad.
yeah... $90 for 1920x1080 is amazing. but it seems B&M only. i'm not going to fight crowds and stand in the cold for hrs at 4am.
not worth the $15 savings over my easy online order from my comfortable chair in my warm house (unless the $90 monitor has a swivel stand that allows me to rotate it vertical? cant tell from ad)
edit: i wonder if it's this one: http://www.TigerDirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4802822&CatId=2775 (direct link broken. have to copy/paste)
if so, then the stand doesnt go vertical. you have to buy a VESA compatible stand

Anyone know if these items are good on their website on Friday as well? Trying to figure out if it is worth standing in line or if I can do this from the comfort of my couch. Thanks.

Most of the "all day" type sales will be (except FAR photo paper, remote, etc).
They do have doorbusters online too but they aren't always the same as what's in the store. They usually "leak" those too a few days early so you know what you are hunting for.
Once you know all the offerings, you can decide if online or B&M is the route to take. If you're interested in both, well, then you have to be creative with having someone help you.
don't forget to enroll in the Bank of America Visa Cash Back promo which will pay you 5% back on Staples B&M purchases on black friday and all through the holiday season. see thread link above (YOU MUST ENROLL in this special promo even if you are already enrolled in the Add it Up program)

Thanks. We just bought 5 of the Microsoft webcams last week and now they are only $10. Figures it would work out that way...and that Staples only does price adjustments within 14 days of purchase.

Shame on you for making purchases with a month of black friday. Unless its absolutely necessary, hold off. Return them and go back in a few weeks.
PS: The above only applies until you see the BF ad, then you run out and grab the last remaining canon cameras for what they can be had for on BF, PLUS a $50 Gc to boot!!
I have been getting $25 off $100 or $25 off $75 coupons once a week for more than a month now - the latest expiring on Nov 21; wonder if they will send one that will be valid on BF?
This ad is very weak in deed. Hopefully they'll leak some hotter deals when we get closer.. seems to be the trend nowadays.

Does price matching work for doorbuster items? ie, buy the item say a week before, and a coupld days after BF, or day of but after doorbuster is gone, try to PM?

You can't go in 2 days later and say "I bought this last week and you had this on sale a couple of days ago, price match it".
I don't think it is, but if so, I'll be in line with you. I've been looking for a new laptop and been pretty impressed with HPs offering, but having trouble trying to keep all the models separate in my head. I liked the DV4 when I played with it in the store.
According to the guy that posted the ad, the SKU for the $399 laptop is # 832349 model DV6-1334. I don't know how different that model is from the DV4.
Also, the cheapest DV6 I could find was ~$500, with this one being $399. Why is everyone saying that the ad is no good for laptops? Have I just been out of the loop with laptops for that long - is this not really a great deal?

I get maybe 1 per year. I assume they are regional, or else based on your quarterly/annual spend?
Laptops quoted by you are not on the Black Friday Ad. They are already on sale right now for $579 and dm3 for $499. Thats the cheapest I can find anywhere else. You may be lucky getting them cheaper using HP 25% Bing CB if available during thanksgiving. I bought the dm2 12.1 inch at last 25% bing CB sale for $499 - 25% Bing = $375 + tax. HP stopped dv2 series now.
