Lenovo model no. 3022-1AU Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 2.6GHz processor 4GB RAM 320GB 7200 rpm hard drive dual-layer DVD burner UPDATE: Now with Windows 7!
Don't know much about Lenovo, but this seems like a pretty sweet deal for a basic PC setup.

I have an old Dell 8600 (pentium4 3.39 GHZ, 3GB RAM) that my wife uses to browse the web, Itunes, watch some Netflix etc. Been thinking about upgrading and this seems like a great deal. what does you think? I know it would be a basic PC

From Wikipedia: "Lenovo acquired the former IBM PC Company Division, which marketed the ThinkPad line of notebook PCs, in 2005 for approximately $1.75 billion.
Lenovo is the fourth largest seller of personal computers in the world.[5] The company is the largest seller of PCs in China, with a 28.6% share of the China market, according to research firm IDC in July, 2009. It reported annual sales of $14.9 billion for the fiscal year ending 2008/2009 (ending March 31, 2009).
Lenovo markets its products directly to consumers, small to medium size businesses, and large enterprises, as well as through online sales, company-owned stores (in China only), chain retailers, and major technology distributors and vendors."
For people who aren't aware: even though it says it's a Pentium Dual core E5300 it's actually faster than the Core 2 Duos that were first released in 2006-2007, the Conroe architecture. Today's Pentium is nothing like the Pentium 4. These new ones are efficient little devils.

TD cancelled my order that had been previously confirmed.

TigerDirect would like to thank you again for your order. Unfortunately, one or more items on your order cannot be fulfilled due to circumstances beyond our control (ie: item no longer available, discontinued, etc.).
Sounded great, but I can't wait til Dec even if it was 'going' to be available.
Starting back to school after being laid off for 1 year. (So, not much 'dough' to lay out.) We need a comparable Intel Core - 2 or better, 2gb mem min that will run a WIN XP or higher, IE 6.0 or higher, MS Off 2007 or higher, MS Project by before Thanksgiving. It will need to be accessable for a blackboard access and a webcam on-line class. Any one help?
