Ripped from SD:

One Day Unlimited USENET Special for $1.00/Mo
Yes, another USENET deal...shhh

Today is the 30th anniversary of usenet and newsdemon is running a promotion where all plans have been reduced to $1.00/mo, each month, for two months.

So, if you sign up for any of the capped (10gb - 50gb plans) or uncapped plans, you get charged only $1.00 for each month for 60 days. When the third month rolls around, then its regular pirce.

This includes the unlimited access plan as well.

Jut got a 1.5TB drive, needs to fill it up. Thanks OP

Ok deal, but next time please don't put a referral code on the link.

Any contract? If not, is it difficult to cancel? Trying to decide which plan to go for.

Be aware that the plan may be unlimited, your ISP will apply limit to your download /upload, at least Comcast does. Comcast has 250GB monthly limit (upload and download)

Thanks. If only I had gotten this sooner. I signed up for Supernews when they had a promotion for 30 connections/unlimited downloads/ssl for $9.99/month forever(normally $11.99), no contract. I'd cancel but I'm in the first weeks of the month so really this would save me only ~$14. Not worth losing my current plan over. Also, when your plan ends you could try newsrazor for unlimited dls, 10 connections, ssl. http://www.newsrazor.net/lifetime.php for $10/month.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this special's normal unlimited plus plan is $116 for a 6 month plan. So over $19/month w/ contract. That's why I posted the alternative links here.

Thanks - signed up with a virtual card number ($2 and 2 month limit)

You don;t really know what you are talking about, so why would you post? I have Comcrap and get 13MB down on my 12MB connection all day long. The only cap they have is 250GB per month or about 53 blank DVD's of data. Also, usenet doesn't care about upload speeds.

dumb question. what is the risk for downloading movies?

J/k Going to jail

This was a great promotion by NewsDemon. It seems that if you actually use the service.... NewsDemon throttles your bandwidth. When I started out, i maxed out my connection. Then on Friday they throttled me down to 25KBps per connection (x 20 connections = 500 KBps total). And now, they've cut me down to 12 KBps.

Great move, NewsDemon. Sign up new customers, then pull a dick move to ensure they will N-E-V-E-R pay your regular monthly subscription fees, E-V-E-R. One of the best dollars I've spent in a long time. Thanks, NewsDemon.

So it's very dead?
