I'm tempted to jump on this one. Makes me think of the globe I got from my second grade classroom. It was a little beat up, well-loved, and ready to retire from the classroom (come to think of it, so was my teacher. She was the best!). At the end of the year, we held a raffle for various class items, and that globe was the one thing I really wanted. It's so out of date now, but it's still nice for the historical (and sentimental) value.
This is a great gift for those who enjoy puzzles, or even for kids who might be struggling with geography (they can covertly learn about countries, oceans and such as they put the globe together!)
The pieces are perfectly crafted and curved. No glue is needed to put the globe together or keep it together; it's 540 pieces assemble easily into a smooth ball. Plastic base and metal rotation stand are both included, so you can choose the perfect display option.
This puzzle normally sells for about $45 and it has nothing but good to great reviews on Amazon!
