* Bright, laser-etched, backlit keys that let you type easily--even in the dark * Cutting-edge, ultra-thin profile (9.3 mm) that adds an elegant touch to any desk * PerfectStroke key system for typing that's silent, natural and fluid * Sleek, minimalist design for the ideal combination of form and function * Soft-touch palm rest and full-size key layout for enhanced comfort
I'm typing on this keyboard now and I can tell you I do not regret it. Bought it from Dell, but not at this price.
The keys are muck like a laptop and the lighting is very professional, not that cheesy red or blue LED lighting found on the gaming keyboards.
At this price I might pick up another one just in case!!

I also have this keyboard which I recently bought from Newegg for about the same price AR. It's great for typing at night with the lights turned down. Although relatively thin, it has a sturdy feel, is glare-free and looks good. Two of my friends also bought one after seeing mine.

YOU WOULD! need to change batteries hourly ! You'd think but my current Logitech wireless keyboard is on the same set of batteries that were put in 6 months ago. I am searching for a wireless illuminated keyboard for HTPC use but they're hard to find. I don't think Logitech even makes one.
I'm hoping to score one at Staples for 29.99 on Black Friday...

How's this keyboard for gaming purposes (mainly fps, any key blocking/ghosting)? That's really the only reason I use my desktop windows pc these days. also, has anyone tried this keyboard on OSX? I know compatibility states windows only...
Great keyboard at a great price. Only problem is the "F"keys aren't illuminated. Really dumb omission. The DO illuminate the "media" key engravings on the same keytop as the "F'key but not the "F"numbers.
Don't think one even exists. Please post if you find one as I was looking for one and ended up with this excellent wired keyboard.
As for batteries, with NO BACKLIGHTING they will last for months, but with backlighting probably hours.

I am searching for a wireless illuminated keyboard for HTPC use but they're hard to find. I don't think Logitech even makes one. This keyboard is about as thick (possibly thinner) than a AA battery. unless you want to load this thing up with watch batteries, a standard battery would suck in this thing.
it lights up and is connected but doesnt input anymore lame!
also this one is the one where if you push a few buttons together the last one will not be recognized. I never had the problem but if you are an epic typer, look into it
I have this keyboard at work and it's fantastic if you're used to typing on a laptop. I've never liked the clunky, cheap feeling of regular keyboards. The style is really nice too. The only issue is that the flip-out keyboard stands are only high enough to make it flat to the desktop-- you can't angle it at all without putting something under it. Not a big issue for me, but I thought I'd mention it to the potential buyers. I'd like to get another one for home on BF from Staples too. For $30, totally worth it.
Yes, this is the keyboard I've always wanted, but as a very fast typer I unfortunately have stayed away. Logitech cheaped out on the actual internals of this thing have have keys sharing the same connections. Certain keys when typed quickly together will only register one of them as critten mentioned, so for those who do have a fast typing rate, avoid this keyboard. I'm assuming this would also be an issue for gaming, though I don't game much.
Then again, those who need the keys illuminated aren't the ones who will be typing that fast.
If they could just make one in this format that's wireless without the illumination I'd buy a few of them.

Link SWEET keyboard, thanks! Misurick, find MisterEd and I a deal on this!
Waaaaaaaaaaay too tiny for me. It's only 6" wide vs. a standard keyboard ~18" wide.

I was gonna buy this until I saw the insert, del, home, end, pgup, pgdn section.
It's only 4 keys with a double-size DEL. WTH? Where did they hide the INS key?

Pretty sure it's made with HTPC in mind, definitely not for every day use. Been using it for over a year, no complaints here.

It blocks. Doesn't bother me though and I type pretty fast. Took a few weeks to get comfortable typing on it. Might bother gamers more but I don't play FPS's much anymore.

Real computer users don't look at the keyboard while typing (flame suit on)
As for Mr Ed comment on missing backlighting for "f", there is typically a mark on f & j to indicate the letter. I think they are meant to assist blind users as well as users who don't need to look at the keyboard while typing..
However i do agree backlighting is cool. It looks nice in macbook.
NOT the "letter F"key I said the "F"keys (FUNCTION leys!) The "F"unction keys have no backlighting. The LETTER"F" does.

Well, there's this one. I have them both, and they are very similar. One's wireless, one's illuminated. One has a brushed aluminum wrist pad, and one has a rubbery one.

It's only 4 keys with a double-size DEL. WTH? Where did they hide the INS key? I hate it when layouts are changed up too, but who uses the INS key? The only time I've ever used that key was when I hit it by accident!! It's completely stupid if you ask me. That's why we have a mouse nowadays, so we can highlight what we want to remove and then type over it.
Anyway, for those that live in NY and hate paying taxes, Newegg has the same deal now: LinkanEgg
I know I'm probably not supposed to do this, but I ended up choosing this one for $34.99 w/FSSS: LINK Different, maybe less professional looking, but still backlit.
I love mine. I've had it since an August deal at Newegg for $34.99 AR. Totally worth it! Looks elegant with the transparent edge and the lights on. The keys don't depress a lot, sort of like a Mac keyboard. If you like to use a heavy hand it may be annoying to type.
I had one since they came out. Maybe lasted just under a year. A couple of the keys started acting up and didnt feel right. Thought maybe something fell into it and tried the whole shaking around thing. Nothing loose and no change. Decided to pop the keys off to see what was up and if there really was something stuck under em. They came off without damaging anything. Nothing was under em. One went back on without breaking anything and propperly, was a little better but not quite right still. The other key broke the little plastic scissor thing underneath despite being very carefull and not putting too much force on anything....so that was it for that keyboard. I dunno if it is worth chancing the money to attempt an RMA since it now can be considered damaged by myself. I'm kinda torn on buying a new one. I loved the keyboard while it worked and want another one, but at the same time dont want to get another one just to have it start going prematurely as well.
