I hate it that I'm so cheap, but I'm wondering if this is the best deal we'll get before Christmas. I'm not entirely certain we'd use the Wii Fit Plus with the Balance Board, but it might be fun.
Has anyone else ordered this? Has anyone decided to wait for a better deal?
I'm really leaning toward ordering it, too, but I keep wondering if there will be a better price elsewhere. OTOH, I'm not one of those people who will sit in line outside a WalMart for hours on end, and the truly phenomenal online deals sell out in seconds, so maybe I should just quit being such a cheapskate and pull the trigger on this deal.

It's not easy being a bargainhound.

I think you should go for this one For me this is the perfect deal since I want a balance board as well. I had been regretting for missing the $25GC deal on Amazon a couple of months ago.

We wanted both the Wii and the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas this year, so this was a perfect fit for us. ...and Amazon is even selling the Wii Fit Plus for their discounted price of $89.99 instead of the MSRP of $99.99. I'm a little surprised they didn't bump the price back to MSRP when they started this sale - good for them!
I've been watching very carefully for Wii console deals over the last three weeks or so, and this is definitely the best that I've seen if you are considering getting the Wii Fit Plus anyway.
I've got the fit plus and there are tons of games in it. There's the yoga and strength training and then like 3 other pages of 15-20 little games...and those are the fun part. Skiing is probably the most intuitive, but I like the ones that use both the controller and the board.
Any suggestions on other games would be appreciated... Wii fit and otherwise. (otherwise i like super paper mario a ton).
FYI-they are coming out with a bunch of games that use the balance board. The entire GOPLAY series uses it.

Great find OP. I was going to pick one up for Christmas and my wife also wanted the Wii Fit if I bought one. Was waiting for Black Friday deals to pick one up cheap but with the tax advantage and free shipping and not having to deal with the crowds with a possiblity of not getting one, I believe this to be the best choice.
Just to be clear, since this is a gift card, not future credit, it won't expire right? Since this deal is good until the 22nd, I think I'll give WalMart one more chance to offer the "buy wii, get $100gc" promo for this saturday before I jump on this.
As this contain a gift card, it does not allow me to use my Amazon.com gift certificate balance towards purchasing the item.Any idea how to get around this.I have over $500 worth of Amazon.com credit.
just fyi, you will receive a promotion code for $5 of credit on select TV shows on Amazon Video On Demand...

Having never owned a Wii, what other things would I need? Additional controller? It would mainly be for me (fit) and my two young boys (4 and 7).

The way to get around it is to order the bundle using credit card first, then go to "where is my stuff", you'll see the system automatically split it into two orders, one for GC, the other for wii. Click on the wii bundle, you'll see "you have xxx in GC, click to apply" notice on top. You will be able to pay the entire Wii part by GC, but not the $50 GC though. That's what I did this morning.

I would recommend getting an extra remote controller and nunchuk so that your two sons can play games together. If you want to save a few bucks you could always get the Edge (nunchuk) controller as seen here:
P.S. I sent you a PM!

I have been wanting a wii (incl sports) and balance board myself and have been checking prices for a while. With the drop in prices recently, I decided to wait till thanksgiving on the assumption that either the prices will drop further or a new model of wii will be out during holidays.
Here is why I will still buy this deal. If a new model comes or prices drop, I can always return my purchase to Amazon. I will even not open the package so I could return it for free shipping if prices drop or a new model comes.
But if that doesn't happen, then I don't want to loose this deal which I think is the best I have seen for a wii console (sports) + balance board. So go for it.

Interesting thought... How do you figure free return shipping to Amazon? From reading Amazon.com's return policy, its states they'll pay return shipping only if it is due to their error.
