This model is on deal for $999 at Frys. This is valid only till 11/19.

Am not sure if this deal is offered at all the Frys stores. I saw this at the Sunnyvale store. I didn't see this offer on frys.com

This is the best deal ever I think for the Sammy 650 model!!

Go, buy and enjoy!!

Edited to give more description in the title.

Sure it wasn't a refurb?

and sheesh... Quiznos sells "sammy"s.

What is LN46????? It will be helpful if you provide a link and item description.

Ha ha.. I like your Quiznos reference This sure wasn't a refurb!! It's for a brand new, shining 650!!

You could use this to get a price match in any other store I guess.

Wow - if this is legit, then it's an amazing deal. Bums me out because I paid $1300 for this TV just a few months ago. I have not seen it lower than $1400 since the week I bought it - so $1000 is a steal. I bought mine at Best Buy with 3 years no interest financing after price-matching to the Fry's price of $1300.

I am in the market for an LCD and was wondering if the Sony BRAVIA KDL-52W5100 deal Link for 1,099+Tax at Fry's is better than the Samsung one?

Yeah, it's been like that since last friday. Confirmed at the Tempe AZ store. The friday ad states 1900-450 before in store savings. So I'm guessing every Frys store has it at that price.

How much is the 40" going for?

Has anybody used the Yahoo widgets feature on any of these TVs and can share some experiences. Also, I read a comment that Netflix widget might be available in the near future, any indications of when and whether it will be seamless or require some kind of a firmware upgrade.

Lastly is there a printed AD that I can show at BBY for a PM.

btw Fry's has been advertising the similarly spec'd LG 47LN50 for $799. However they have listed it as "Major Name Brand" so you can't do a price match.

Any specific reasons why the Samsung is worth the extra $200??

I went to Frys actually to get the 47LN50 for 799, but that one is actually 899 in Tempe store... So I didn't buy it...
I'm basically sold to the Netflix, Vudu, and MKV support on LH50... And it wouldn't hurt to follow the stock market through the yahoo widgets (which is a common feature on these sets) but VUDU and fantastic MKV support is definitely a decision maker for me...

I'm waiting for LG to go down to 799 so I can buy it from Sears

Add B&M in the title please.

I am about to jump on either deal. Please tell me what the difference between the LG 47in LH50 and Samsung 46 B650. The LG at Frys in on sale for $799 and $999 for the Samsung. Is it worth $200 extra for the Samsung?
Thanks a lot

this is a really good TV. The picture quality and colors on even low resolution foreign channels are amazing. I am a happy owner for 10+ mos.

That is nice. I paid $2000 for this exact TV, about two years ago. Man how technology flies

I've been pretty interested in the LH50. From what I've read, the network apps work really well on the LG, better than Samsung or Sony. The picture quality falls a bit short though with lighter blacks. My informal test in store with a USB drive full of pictures, music, and videos showed really grainy pictures, decent but rattly sound at high volume, and no video playback options. For some the better picture quality of the Samsung may be worth the extra $$$. IMHO, I'd say the LG is the better deal, but then again, I'm passing on both of these.
