Receive a $100 statement credit when you spend $200 or more at WalMart.com or in WalMart stores November 20th 2009 Be one of the first to click the ‘I Want It’ button at sale time for the opportunity to register your Card for this offer!

$100 off a purchase of $200 or more applied as a statement credit.

Will the sale time generally be on Nov 27th or sometime between now and then?

nevermind, "We'll reveal sale times here the day of the sale."

The AMEX wish site is like the lotto. Good luck playing but more than likely you will lose your time trying to get it.

Yep, basically an instant win contest with terrible odds.

Exactly. How many people got that new BMW for $17k last time?

uh yea... it's not like it would make very good business sense if they gave everybody those deals.

It's a free raffle...and it takes maybe 1 minute of your time... stop crying.

Please.... By your logic, they shouldnt have it at all as it would make more business sense.

lol.

Why do you think that is my logic? I just said if they gave everybody those killer deals it wouldn't make sense...by disagreeing with that statement.. you think that they SHOULD give EVERYBODY these deals??? Give everybody a BMW 328i for 17k? That makes sense to you? Please...

If they didn't offer deals at all there wouldn't be all of this free advertising/attention to them. By offering small numbers of fantastic deals, they spur up interest and create hype for people to come to their site and perhaps buy into lesser deals. This should be sounding familiar if you have any idea what Black Friday is.

And thats what I said: its your logic about making sense or not.

I didnt know you could read mind. Wrong assumption. You dont know what I think. By pointing what you are saying(and its silliness) doesnt mean I support opposite of what you say. I am merely pointing out the absurdity of your statement about business sense.

Thanks for an excellent lesson. Perhaps you are missing the point that most people with any experience wont go there they know its meaningless. Experience matters. IOW, it makes no business sense to have so few to turn people off.

don't give up once the hour hit because a lot of people click but do not finish the process so keep trying.

There are many people who seem to win these things from AMEX in multiple quantities. I have bought the Amazon codes from people who had won several...even though I tried many times in various ways over the years. For some reason, the people I always seemed to buy from had foreign names......

U mean tom dick and harry? .. all of these are foreign names

Why start a new thread for each thing?

Much easier to Woot a BOC than get in on these deals (and I never manage to get BOC).

sanity said: don't give up once the hour hit because a lot of people click but do not finish the process so keep trying. That's true. I got a Macy's one yesterday after missing it right on the hour.

For those who've been lucky in this timing and clicking contest and got through the process to completion, did you receive any e-mail confirmation of your submission/completion?

I recall that when they had the My Wishlist contests in the past that you would get an almost-instant confirmation e-mail.

If nobody received any confirmation e-mail for these $ off credit offers, other than printing out the screen that shows "Thank You" and "You're All Set" (but doesn't indicate any name or card info), what other proofs are there for peace of mind?

Did anybody see elsewhere anything that would exclude purchasing gift cards for these offers? I don't see any such mention in what I've quoted above but maybe am missing some other fine print somewhere. The "Go Now" link next to "More details on this partner's website." simply brings you to http://www.walmart.com/.

Happy Friday to all!

I'm wondering about this, too. I didn't get any e-mail confirmation but one of their FAQs states the following.

Your Confirmation E-mail
You’ll get a confirmation e-mail directly from our partner with your order information. If you don’t receive a confirmation e-mail after completing your purchase on the partner’s website, please contact the partner directly. See Partner Directory.

Please note that reservation confirmation e-mails sent from Daily Wish are only applicable for those items for which your purchase has to be completed offline. If this is the case, we let you know on the site that we’re sending you an e-mail with the details of your reservation.

If you don’t receive a confirmation e-mail for an offline purchase reservation made on Daily Wish, please contact us by e-mail.

got one of these today - first thing I got out of this daily wish
anyone know if the $200 can be in multiple purchases?

co-ask

I got in on this offer, also. I just sent an email to AMEX directly to find out if purchasing a WalMart gift card would be a qualifying purchase. I'll be sure to let you know once I hear back from them.

* my apologies for the duplicate post *

Thank you, I purchased some gift cards through Bing last night and it's showing the transaction pending for CashBack.

Do you have to "sign up" each time?
I did it once and now it seems like I have to redo the whole process every time I want to play?
I really hate the new daily wish set up.
I do not see a place to "sign in"

I got a confirmation email from them for this deal. Not sure why you don't get one.
