I think Wii at WalMart/Amazon will be a better deal, if it happens. Xbox360 (arcade) was on avaialable from both with $100GC. I doubt AMEX comes close to it.

they could but they would have only 1 available! Sale no. 3 for Nov 27 is a Wii for $120. 150items available. That's not much, but that's how many Xboxs they offered when I "won" it. And I think flat out $120 is better than anything WalMart might offer, which we don't even know if they will.
This is just the DAILY wish deal. This is not the wish deals they ran after Thanksgiving last year. Also so far the deals for Best Buy are much better. Last year it was $150 off $600 or more. This year it's $200 off $500 or more.

For this deal, do we have to spend $500 before taxes? or does it work after taxes, and as long as the charge on the card is more than $500?
tjtjking said: pardon me, but i dont see the BMW It says right on the top banner (to the right of the little gift box image) "Starting on Black Friday (11/27) until 12/30 - More sales per day. clearanceman said: The last promotion sucked, the good things were sold out in about 2 seconds. Yes, there's definitely a huge "luck" factor with these, but I still love them! I "won" two things two years ago, and one last year so it's not impossible. If you followed the FW thread last year, quite a few FWers benefited - but yeah you have to be on top of it to have ANY chance.
This is great. Need to find some electronics to buy this year with the BB one. Won a $150 off $500 last year. Used it to buy a Wii and some games. [Didn't test the video game HW exclusion on the certificate. Bought a $500 receiver, returned it for store credit. Used the store credit to buy all the Wii stuff]. Needless to say, I have found better luck winning the certificates later in the season than sooner - everyone already has all the ones they are allowed or need by the middle of Dec.
this is kinda like a lottery ticket more than anything (only you work harder for a less valuable outcome).

Green!!!!!
Do gift cards qualify as purchase? Gee, $100 AMEX gc for $50. Thats a steal, the only thing we pay is shipping costs? All of these are steal as long as gift cards purchased at a retail store qualify. I mean i dont see how AMEX can differentiate types of purchases

Same here, click on the I WANT IT button as soon as the timer went to 0. Seems like this was reserved already for some privileged members!! What a waste of time.

Its a gimmick. I cant even think of trying. Its significantly worse than a raffle. It would have been better for them to make it a lottery system instead of what they have now.
Should I trust the site since it says it's secure, but I don't see 'https' in the address bar? It's not even secure on the page link: http://dailywish.amexnetwork.com/preid2.aspx

Yes, I did get mine. I had previous emailed them. My parents are still waiting theirs. They had to fax a receipt as proof. That's annoying. If they would just check their statement it would indicate they made a purchase.
