Link should be changed into Linky for combo deal. You have to remind that there is no price difference between hard only deal and hard + printer combo deal!

Guys- Just note that this version has three 250GB platters. More platters equals more vibration, more power, more heat, more noise, and in this case slower transfer rates than the dual platter 640GB drive due to the difference in areal density.

If I ordered (3) combos do I get (3) HDDS AND (3) printers OR just (3) HDDS and (1) printer?
Per Newegg: "Only one of each Combo Special can be purchased per order." So you need three seperate orders, but no reason why you shouldn't get 3 printers since it is not a MIR that limits you to one per household.
Is this hard drive ready to be used as the primary (and only) internal drive in laptop? (Toshiba A135-S4447)? Are the laptop hard drives 2.5" or 3.5"?

I dont think this is for laptops. It's for desktops, if that is your question, laptops are 2.5". If your goign to upgrade a laptop, might as well buy a portable HD, rather than swapping out the hd itself, unless if it's really really small, i.e. under 100gb.
Anyways, In 4 one. Yay. Even for just the printer this is a good deal
The printer itself goes for $30 at WalMart, so it's like paying $35 for the HDD. I was going to wait for BF to see if better deals for HDD would come, but I couldn't resist this.

i'd rather have the drive without the printer. it's not like you can sell the printer for much... their buy it now price is ~$25 on eBay, and i don't see any auctions with any bids. dead weight! it's still a good deal at $64.95 for that drive.
i recently bought the caviar black 1tb at best buy for 99.95, filler for $2, then used paypal $20 off $100 order. so 1tb for 79.95. think that deal just ended, but i like this one better. tempted to buy another drive!

Wished it wasn't 3 platter but at this price with a free printer it's too good to pass up. Thx OP!

Then be a good generous person and donate the printer to a local charity that could use it. Sheesh.

Yeah, I don't see why anyone would turn down a free printer. I'm sure a family member or friend could use it, or you could always give it as a present or friendly gesture to someone.

Thanks OP! I am actually fixing to build a new rig for my brother for Christmas. One part down, and now he gets a bonus gift!

but printers are never really free. they put like 100pgs of ink in and you have to pay $50 for replacements color, even if you only want to print b&w.

Yes, mine is only 80 GB, so need to swap it with another bigger HDD. Thanks for reply though.
dimwit said: DeadPrinter combo is dead. Drive is still $64.99, $15 cheaper than a couple days ago. You can get a combo with free SATA cable instead, or eSATA cable for a couple bucks more.
Its still showing as available if you go to the Newegg home page....
Thanks OP - i placed an order for this combo at 79.99 two days ago - a quick call got me a refund of $15 - Newegg rules!
